I am forwarding this commentary from a friend. Libtards will find a way to excuse the actions of the CIC but most of us have our eyes open to this most distasteful of Presidents this country has ever seen. Suddenly, Obama needs to make good on a "broken campaign promise", that is to go to Chicago every six weeks. Perhaps he should concentrate on his other broken promises. The Commander-in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States of America goes on vacation on the day that commemorates those who gave their lives in service to their country. Remember the photos of him disrespecting tradition during the playing of the National Anthem and the pledge of Allegiance? One has to wonder why he bows to a foreign prince but has no respect for the traditions and the underpinnings that represent our country. You miss the point. Taken out of context, I would tend to agree with you. However, Obama consistently shows a pattern of actions that demonstrates that he has disdain and disrespect for his country. The same can not be said of former Presidents. | ||

If Obama is a person of mixed race parenting. What makes him a "black president"? Doesn't he have as much right to be equally called a white president? Personally I don't think missing a ceremony at Arlington is that big of deal. He should be down in the Gulf shoveling oil muck out of some marsh if he really wants to make a good impression. | ||

Cyclonedon, You can do whatever you choose to do but you are not the leader and the symbol of the Free World. No one except possibly your dog cares what you do. Most Americans look to the President for leadership and inspiration and care what he does. Hey, this isn't the biggest deal in the world but it is indicative of Obama's world view when taken in context with his other actions. The year that George W Bush missed Arlington.... he was in Normandy for the Memorial service there. Anybody in the military shouldnt get their panties in a bunch over that one.... I accept that BO doesn't care about our fallen military heroes. In a way I'm happy that he won't disgrace that sacred ground on Memorial day. It's better than showing up and doing/saying one more stupid thing that is just a slap in the face to the families that have paid the ultimate price defending our nation. Has he apologized to Germany for WWII yet? If not I'm sure it's on his to do list. | ||

But since we live in a free country and we vote for our president, Obama is our president since he won the election by winning the majority of the vote! He will continue to to be my president for another couple of years until we have another election and at that time we'll all have a chance to go to the polls again and cast our vote again. So I think people need to get over it and get along with their lives! Why not try something different for a change like going for a motorcycle ride?  | ||
