Just a quick question, do most of you feel that when you are driving a cage, are you a better driver BECAUSE you ride a motorcycle? I know that since I started riding again, taking the RIDERS EDGE classes, and the addition of the twins, I have been a much more attentive cage driver, just wondering what you guys and gals think. |

Yes, but learning to drive a tractor trailer was even more of an influence in my car driving and driving a big truck helped me become a motorcycle rider. In reality, there are lessons from all three that carry over to another. |

No, and anyone who thinks they drive a car better because they ride a motorcycle is fooling themselves, quite frankly. Your personality and level of education (re: the rules of the road, not college, high school or the like) determine how well you drive either vehicle, of course coupled with skills which weigh more for the bike than they do the car. I know I'm a better driver than most because I have a little card with my name on it my wallet that says, "New York State Certified Driving Instructor", lol. Seriously! |
