Walking around Boston last weekend I saw (surprisingly)a couple 48s curb side. One was orange/black the other full black. That is a tiny bike! Reminded me of the 250 nighthawk I took my motorcycle course with. I'd have to sit on the fender to be comfortable. Well, that is 2 more than the xr1200 I have seen! Anyone else see any? Think they are selling well? |

I saw one Saturday on Natchez Trace Parkway. NEVER seen an XR1200. |

I have only seen 48's in showrooms. I have seen a dozen or so XR1200s on the road. I have personally seen the 115 mph rev limiter on the XR1200. |

No to the 48 and yes to the XR only two though. In my area I've seen more XB Buells than both the 48 and XR. Including the showroom. There are including mine four XB firebolts that I have seen in the Albany/Saratoga areas. |

No 48, and 1 XR - on a trailer being towed to a rally in Western Maryland last summer... I guess it's not suitable to actually ride to the rally... |

How many 48s have you seen? one and it was on the dealer's showroom floor. I don't expect to see very many of those on the road. When they are priced quite a bit higher that a Suzuki Busa, I don't think the younger generation will spend the extra to get a much slower motorcycle! |

Having ridden an XR1200 on a solo test ride, I can tell you I was glad to get off it by the time I was done. There really wasn't anything fun about it. The bike is, for lack of a more endearing term, a gutless turd. |

They don't sell well around these parts. |

Do notice blacked-out Harley's with accordion fork gaiters more frequently among cruiser crowd here 'bouts. As a style-theme it seems popular overall. |

I thought I seen a 48 but it was just an orange tabby cat darting across the road in front of me. |

I saw one during a bike meet up a few weeks back. The guy proceeded to tell the story how his wife, riding a Vespa, inadvertently hit the gas instead of the brakes and rammed right into his brand new 48. To me the thing looked like a bucket of bolts. Nothing special about it. I rofl-ed when the dude was complaining of having to fill up every 80 miles...lol |

I'm not doing a whole lot better on my XB9 for the fill ups Finally had to make sure I had a light with my to shine down into the abyss and make sure it was full (or at least what I think is full). Didn't get 140 between fuel lights this last tank (10 percent alcohol fuel), and that was pretty much straight out cruise commuting, no real fun involved! |

There was one in the dealership. I talked to the salesman about it. Apparently they are asking more than retail for this bike, since they are selling well. He also said they are not making any more at the present time. Shut down for the new years models. they are taking orders of course. 1 xr1200 in the show room. they have it set aside over in the corner how they used to display buells. all of the cruisers are up front. |
