My sincerest apologies for not being able to make it today, and also for not being able to let you know. I just got to my computer now, and left the house at 7 am, thinking I would be able to make it. Maybe the next time I'm on the East Coast... |

I apologize for not putting these up last night, but by the time we got home, I was whipped. a 400 mile day kicked my ass, and I'm about to go on an 8,000 mile ride? I'd better HTFU!
It really was fun meeting everyone for lunch. I got the impression that Graham and Kate were a little overwhelmed by their Celebrity status, but they seem like really good people. |

I saw the guy with the red 'stitch and red 1125 as he was heading north through a toll plaza. I was waiting in line in the opposite direction. I knew at that point that I wasn't going to see anyone that day. Oh well. New York was playing nice with me yesterday with no attempts at my life. My first trip to NY was on my '79 ironhead. That was unpleasant. |

That's me! The red power ranger! Actually, since I owned the suit FIRST, it's more like the bike matches the suit. |

You're going to love Homecoming... I was thinking the same thing, lol. They walked in the door and the cameras started clicking for the rest of the meal, and there was only... 15 of us? Good to see everyone - the trip in was easy peasy, the trip out, eh... Once I figured out that my GPS was set to avoid highways I got on my way, but sat in a lot of traffic on the Major Deegan, but I still was home in Albany by 5:15pm. Man, it was HOT. Dodged storm cells the whole way home - could see them all around and was always riding through areas where it had just rained, but I managed to stay dry. Good ride, good food, good company. See you guys in Wisconsin. |

I know what you mean by HOT. I wore the 'stitch in anticipation of rain (which never happened). At least the suit, being red, isn't as hot in stalled traffic as a black one would be but holy CRAP it was hot! When I could actually MOVE it was fine, plenty of airflow through the suit and all the vents... but I spent far too much time just sitting in one spot or crawling along at walking speeds. I think I lost in water weight what I consumed in FOOD. I drank four tall glasses of water yesterday when I got home and I still felt dehydrated this morning. |
