We should have another sign up in a few weeks farther west - Portland Buell Riders spent our first wet cold day picking up garbage a while back - fun times - all to get our name on a sign (and a contest on who picked up the best item!) Full beers, Porn DVD, Diapers,no bags of cash. Nothing like 30+ bags of garbage for club bonding - OR Highway 224 MP 10.5 to 12.5 |

Bring back the crying Indian from '70's TV. The new generation needs reminding. Meanwhile, though, good for you guys to be big enough to pick up the mess left by stoopids. |

The crying Indian is now considered too racially demeaning to be seen again. |

Well go to the gas station by your house, plug in my address or Chicago into the GPS and you will drive right by it. I am not sure if it is 12 but it connects to 12. It is on the road just as you make a left onto it... |

Interesting info on "Iron Eyes Cody" from Wiki. I always thought he was of Indian decent. Regardless, his commerical is probably in the top 10 of most memorable and impactful of all time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Eyes_Cody Iron Eyes Cody (April 3, 1904 – January 4, 1999) was an American actor. He was recognized for portraying Native Americans in Hollywood films. Near the end of his life, his Italian ancestry was made public. In 1995 he was honored by the Native American community for his portrayals. In 1995, the Hollywood Native American community honored Cody for his contributions to Native American life.[3] In 1996, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported his Sicilian heritage, but Cody denied it. He lived all his adult life claiming he was Native American and supported related causes. Cody and his wife Bertha, who was, in fact, a Native American, adopted several children, all of Native American descent. |

BTW Spidey, that is a neat sign! Wonder who it is? I'll bet a call to the county would help resolve the question.. (Message edited by bluzm2 on May 24, 2010) |

for those coming to this year's Buell homecoming, that sign is less than a 30 minute ride away. Spidey, there's no way I would take that route into Chicago! Take the tollway and try and keep up with the traffic! |
