Here is my Vespas. Blue and white is a 78 P125x with a 177 kit, ported cases, cut crank, and an expansion chamber pipe. It will do just over 70 mph. The white one is a 2000 model PX150. It will do about 60 MPH.

I've got a 2008 Yamaha Zuma. Only mods I've done are cutting the throttle cam to the 2005 profile, and moving the rear turn signal bulbs inside of the tail light. I rarely ride it since Oklahoma requires tags on anything with an engine, even a 50cc. (should have researched that BEFORE the purchase) So far I've just been too lazy to get the tags current on it. It's fun to zip around on though. Mostly I just use it to run down the street a few blocks to the parts store while I'm in the middle of working on something else. ATGATT

75 Vespa Rally 200, the fastest from the factory with a whopping top speed of 68mph! But with a pipe and blueprinted top end I ran to 70 on the GPS Oh yeah, and terrible brakes... Can't believe I used to ride the thing every day on the freeway. |

Kirk, Is that your new track bike? Actually I never caught the final resolution on your bike after you first track day. I assume you got it back together. Was much really torn up? |

My buddy's grandparents had scooters just like that. We used to rip around the neighborhood on them. Super fun! |

Nice to see some scooters! My two wheeled roots are on old Italian scooters. Mostly, Lambretta's. I still have my dream scooter, a 1971 DL. Doesn't run right now. Someday I'll get it running again, but I'll never sell it. |

Sifo, I ended up totaling the Uly. My insurance picked it up. I bought an 09 Uly about a month ago. So I ripped the scooter apart this afternoon and cleaned up the carb and tightened up all the bolts. Flame (thats what I named it) runs like a champ now! I'm terrorizing the neighborhood w/ clouds of blue smoke! |
