. . . and maybe throw some business their way. A request was posted on the Erik Buell Racing Facebook page, but it doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention and I don't want it to drift away before people notice. This may be the biggest thing we can do to support the effort at this moment. Here is a link to Ratpak Records: http://www.ratpakrecordsamerica.com/erikbuell If you haven't bought the album yet . . . do it! It doesn't just help the effort, but it's actually a good album (I like Anthem X http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5rSKvNH4xw, Running Blind and Landslide in particular. And if you've already bought the album, buy some for friends. They make great gifts. Who couldn't use another T-Shirt? You can get one with a cool logo for the same price as any other T-Shirt and waaaay less than a Harley one. Buy a few and put them away until the first one wears out. And speaking of Harley, here's an idea: Buy an extra CD and send it to: Keith Wandell Harley Davidson Inc. 3700 W. Juneau Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53208 How funny would it be if he had 20 CD's on his desk every morning? And it doesn't have to be mean spirited. It might actually help him. If he actually listens to it, it could be like chemotherapy for his cancerous soul. Also, check out some of their other artists. And it only takes a minute to drop them an e-mail and let them know that sponsoring Erik Buell Racing is worth it. You can also join their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/RatPakRecords?r ef=ts and express yourself there. The other sponsor is Sportbike Track Time, and they're a cool one:http://www.sportbiketracktime.biz/ Check out their schedule and see if you can fit in a day. You won't regret it. There's probably no single investment you can make that will improve your performance more. And if you can't make that kind of committment, you can still drop them a line and thank them. Here's their facebook: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profile.php?id= 100000074608154&ref=ts (Message edited by elvis on May 20, 2010) |

I bought a CD and shirt for my guitar playing son in Portland . . . I'm sure he's going to really enjoy it. I also sent the nice review that Srato9r posted here on Badweb to the RatPack folks. This is thrilling stuff to see. I may have to squander a few CD's and shirts away for gifts. |

I have no shame. I can bump this all day if I have to. If Geoff can get on the podium, Erik Buell Racing will probably have sponsors coming out of the woodwork, but there's a lot of hard work that has to happen before that, and we need to let these sponsors and other potential sponsors know that there's a real value in supporting an American motorcycle that's racing against the best bikes in the world with the best chance we've ever had of actually showing the world something. Geoff made it to the top ten his first time out. With some development time, he can be mixing it up with the top riders. Let's help make that happen. I know that Buell riders are passionate, enthusiastic and willing to help whenever they can. Let's show the sponsors that. |

Just ordered a sticker for my truck, it's not much but it's something. Didn't see the shirts offered on the Erik Buell Racing site, are those a package deal with the album only? |

You can get the shirts here for $17.95 (or you can pay a few extra dollars and get a shirt + CD): http://www.ratpakrecordsamerica.com/erikbuell But even if you don't have the money to spend (or maybe already bought something), you can also help by sending a quick e-mail to Sportbike Track Time and RatPak to thank them for their support. Let them know that you are spending money with them partly because you appreciate their support of the team. |

Wow! I wish I could be that optimistic. If they had started the season in Daytona with their current crew, Geoff May, Cory West and maybe Dave McGrath and a major sponsor, I think I might be able to be that confident. One concern I have now that would stop me short of your confidence level is that I'm not 100% sure May won't get injured. There are some great riders out there with top teams and deep pocket sponsors, so, while a podium would be GREAT, it will also be very tough. . . . with that said, I do get a warm feeling seeing Dennis Zickrick out there with his trademark hat. Maybe they could just pull something amazing off . . .

Cool! A race I'm really looking forward to is the Lucas Oils Superbike challenge a little over a week from now: http://www.superbikechallenge.com/ I can't wait to see the 1190RR going up against unlimited competition. A podium there would be REALLY cool (and I think Geoff's got a good shot). |
