Just spent four hours on the grill with my potential new employer. Came out with a very good feeling, and the promise of an offer coming my way no later than tomorrow morning. On the low side, it's $3000 a year more than I make now... on the high side it will be about $10,000 a year more. Hell, the cost of living in Georgia is so much lower than California, I would have been happy even starting a little lower, and this guy is throwing taller figures at me right out of the box! Looks like I better work on my drawl if I want to fit in around here... I'm sitting in my hotel room with my head spinning and my stomach doing flips. HELLLLLLLZ YEAAHHHHHHH!!!! Hell yeah. Yeah, with the lower costs and higher pay you'll come out way ahead. And you'll be within a riding distance of some of the best twisties in the country. |

AHHHahahaha "peachy", I get it... Yeah the roads down here seem to do nothing but twist and turn... can't hardly keep track of which direction I'm facing. The weirdest part of this for me is that I've never lived more than spitting distance from the ocean. Guess I'd best just get used to small lakes and streams. The Dragon is not too far away, I can't wait to check it out. |

Just spit in any stream or ditch, it'll eventually reach the ocean. Might consider chewing on a little oil dry before you spit though! That way, when it gets to the Gulf of Mexico, it'll have a little more meaning as it moves off to the Atlantic. |

Four hours is just warm up exercise at my company. I was grilled for seven hours including a one hour lunch. I had to stand in front of a panel of six for two hours. It sucked. Matt demonstrated his expertise in the first half hour and they probably discussed motorcycles for the rest of the time just to make sure that Matt wasn't going to bust their nut. Good luck, Matt. |

Good news! None of the roads in the metro make any sense, and most all go the same place. Watch out for roads labeled east and west that really travel north and south. |

OK... since you're all on the edge of your seats, I'll keep you up to date: They say I'll have the final decision some time on Friday. |

I posted here a few hours ago and it never made it to the board. Stay positive even though this is not good. I have had similar situations turn around for the good on two separate occasions. Make sure you have done your follow ups in writing with thank you, how and why you were impressed, and how you can be valuable to their organization. These things matter. |
