Call the our northern friends by thier proper names HOSERS The wait staff in florida hate serving them they refuse to tip. We have so many here in florida during winter they even pip in canadian radio filled with ads of go to this or that DR he will bill the Canadian gove direct for thier health care. They are nice folks for the most part til you get the montreal types like parisians only nastier.
It does not matter where you come from or what color your you can bet your ass I will protect what is mine. I worked like a dog and spent weeks at a time a way from my family to get what I have. I mean to keep it.
Ok lets be realistic, a can of luncheon meat should= prosecution NOT MURDER!!! That shop keeper should have used his hands to dial the police not swing a blunt object causing death. Good luck to him supporting his family in prison if he's prosecuted.
Killing a thief taking 10 million dollars wouldn't bother some people.
Killing a thief taking one dollar would.
I'm not sure where you draw the line. It's not even a line I want to draw, ever.
But I know that every day some store clerk is murdered for very little money. Usually more than a can of meat, but a typical 7-11 robbery gets only about $80. Certainly not millions.
More often than not today, even a cooperating clerk ( paid close to minimum usually ) gets murdered during a robbery.
7-11 will fire you for resisting a robbery. How much would that suck?
My personal policy was to be as violent as possible, since if I was going to get fired, I was going to take it out on the guy who caused it. Resisting had a higher probability of survival than cooperation, so that choice over rides the others.
That said, sucks to die for a can of meat.
It might be called excessive. I'd give the elderly store owner a good dressing down.
The woman was, what, 350 miles from home getting medical treatment? People don't typically travel that far unless it's something serious. She died 5 days later - of what? I'm no doctor, but I'd venture to guess that any strike would take less than 5 days to kill you if it were going to kill you. But again, I don't really know and it sounds like this reporter doesn't either.
