My daughter's boyfriend was riding her '05 XB9SX and the drive belt broke. Of course he said he was driving slow & taking it easy, like driving to Sunday school, and the belt just came off after he shifted into second. As far as finding a new belt, I did some research, including looking through the knowledge vault here but I find so much information, some of it conflicting, that I felt I needed to ask the question. Bike is a 2005 XB9SX. The drive belt is definitely a different pitch than my '03 XB9S. Her old belt has this number on it: G0500.1AAA. I could use some help finding the right belt. Thanks, Mark |

Your 03 is the odd man out. Her 05 has the same belt as all other short wheelbase XB's. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17057.html The 2003's, X/XT's, and SS/TT's have different belts, ALL other XB's have the same belt. |

Thanks for the help. I tried to get it from American Sport Bike, but they didn't have any in stock. I ordered the belt yesterday from Liberty Buell. Hopefully it shows up so I can install it before the weekend. |
