Geez Spidey, I'm short, old, fat, and balding. Oh yeah, I also yell at kids to get off my lawn. I have no idea what D sees in me.

You're welcome.

Crusty, why do you say it's fortunate that you'll be missing Bike Week? FB |

I hate sitting in wheel to wheel traffic listening to jackasses blipping their throttles with straight piped. |

Crusty, have you ever been to Sturgis? If not, what influences have shaped your negative impression of the place? Both years I went I was on my '96 Buell S2 Thunderbolt, and had an absolute ball. I didn't get beat up (heck, the T'bolt got props everywhere I went), and there's some fabulous riding country around there (Spearfish Canyon, the run out to Devils Tower, Iron Mountain Road, Mt. Rushmore, Nebo, Deadwood, to name a few). Yep, downtown Sturgis is five blocks of slow crawl, but is easily avoided, and the show is awesome. Everyone should do Main Street at least once in their lives. No helmet law (*gasp*), and for the women clothing is almost optional, if you catch my drift. There's drag racing, flat track and hill climbs, if you're into any of that, and bikes of all flavors and styles, not just them faggy, inconsiderate Harley-Davidson riders. But, yeah, you're prolly way better off going before the fun starts. In all seriousness, I hope you and Terri have a great trip. FB |

Ed, I confess that I'm only vaguely familiar with anime, but I don't disagree with you that it is an art form. FB |

Jerry; I live 90 miles from Laconia, I've been there more times than I can remember. I've been to Daytona a number of times. I was at the last two BIG rallies at Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green, KY in '77 & '78. I've burned out on the Show. I'm sick of my ears ringing for days afterwards. I hate sitting still in 90+° temperatures behind some jerkoff with straight pipes who is unable to let his bike idle, but has to continually blip the throttle. Laconia is surrounded by some magnificent roads for motorcycles, but I won't ride them during Bike Week, because they're so crowded I can't enjoy them. I want to see Sturgis. I want to see the Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore. And I want to enjoy the experience. |

Wow! All this over a joke. I mean, everyone understands the article is a joke, right? You may not think it's funny, but it's still just a joke. As far as South Park goes, I love it. I think it's funny and at times can be equally intelligent and juvenile. It's certainly not intended for kids, and my two kids will never see it until they're much older (thank you VChip). Respect my authoritah! |
