Well for those of you that are interested, I just bought a building to move Double Lung Archery to! 5500 sq ft for my shop and an apartment. This will provide me with the additional space I need and the 30 ft ceilings will allow me to have 2 levels of shooting lanes for the indoor range. It is located right on Main St in La Porte City, about a mile from my current location. I take possession on July 1st and will have until the end of July to get the building ready to open for business on Aug 2nd.   | ||

1970's mansard roof aside, it looks like the building has some good bones. It would be cool to take it back to original. I hope you plan on keeping the marquis. But that's just me. I hope you enjoy continued success. | ||

The building was a theater a looooong time ago. Probably some Jr Mints still in there somewhere! The Marquis will stay, just painted and lettered for Double Lung Archery! The garage is mine too and will give me plenty of room for the bikes! Parking? All of Main Street! The best thing is I don't have to plow it in the winter. Just a sidewalk and small area in front of the garage. Going to get a quad with a blade to do that with. Yeah, I especially like the fence Craig. | ||

The best thing about it is that for about the same as I am paying in rent I can cover the payment,insurance,utilities, garbage dumpster, and own it in about 6 years! I will save about 500-600 per month since Buck and I can live in the apartment. The city approved me for a low interest "economic development" loan to cover some of the down payment and are refunding 100% of my property taxes for 3 years! (aprox $7000.00 total) The rest of the money is coming from the bank 1 block away. The same banker that 4 years ago told me "there's NO WAY an archery shop will make it in La Porte City" and turned me down for the loan to start the business. Guess I have changed their minds  | ||
