Just got this in an email from a source I trust. Great news! I'm confident it's true.
quote:WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Dan Burton (R-IN-05) issued the following statement after Navy SEAL Matt McCabe was found not guilty of all charges related to the alleged abuse of an al-Qaeda terrorist detainee:

I'm not all to sure that the Military officer that charged them was voted into office. But your right if you voted to get the current "executive" into office you should hang your head in shame,, your partly responsible for getting us into this nightmare that may Never be over. |

I had understood that the Seals had the charges against them that the brass couldn't just ignore, given our current Administration, and the Seals requested/demanded the court martial trial to definitively clear their names. I'll bet this sort of move for name-clearing happens once in a while. |

Not sure about military tribunals, but in civilian criminal court cases can be dropped quickly for lack of evidence. DAMHIK! |
