I have an 05XB12R and the rear tire is ready for replacement. The front tire still looks OK but I want to replace them as a set. Motorcycle superstore is having their annual tire sale and their prices seem pretty good with free shipping. I was just wondering what tires you guys are using and how pleased you are with their performance. I currently have the OEM Dunlops and am looking forward to a newer tire design. I don't do track days, just a few drag events a year, and ride a lot of slab.(26 mile work commute) I would like a good performance tire but not something really soft that will wear out super quick due to my commuting. Thanks for any help you guys can offer. -John |

The 2ct is probably my next tire so I can get the harder compound in the center. |

Greg - I Believe the Power 2CT has softer compound on the shoulders, not a harder compound in the center. Maybe semantics, but you won't see longer tire life out of a 2CT compared to a regular PP - what you will see is better grip in the corners. |

Spent my lunch looking around and I think I am going to go with the Pilot Power 2CT's. I was going to get 2CT's front and rear but was thinking something. Since the rear seems to wear out quicker than the front would I be better going with a front tire that had the softer compound throughout the entire tire? or would that just wear the front tire out prematurely as compared to the rear? Thanks for all the input guys. |

Ohio_xb12, seems I've read on here plenty of riders going with a Conti Sport Attack front and a Road Attack rear, with good results. |

I just put on a set of the Dunlop Q2's . Completely changed the ride of the bike for the better. I never liked the stock tires from day one. The Q2's stick like glue and make the bike feel much more stable. |

Decided on the 2CT's now I just have to order my no mar bar. Does anyone have one and know if they come with a bar that will sit in the bearing in the middle that the no mar bar rotates around? On the no mar website the bar that they rotate around is attached to the machine. Thanks |

I do a 35 mile commute every day, and recently put on a set of Conti Road Attacks. 800 miles, and less than .03 wear in the middle. I have no long term reports. |
