Hallo, its been a while since I last posted here I am not new to this community. I am a VRSCDX owner and I love Buells.

I thought I should share one of my videos with you.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wimd2FrTcE

Please before you start bashing me keep in mind that lane splitting is legal.
It is still dangerous to ride that fast and know Greece is no safer than any other country.
It was more dangerous for the ninja in front of me, (do not know this guy)
I dont usually ride like this.
I use my dirtbike to blow steam off.
I currently have a broken leg (pity me).

LOL... Lane splitting may be legal, but dude you looked like you were speeding bigtime. Can't greece police find you via IP address and send you a ticket? (I guess they have better things to do these days!!)

Pretty cool vid but it would take some getting use to before i would try that never know when the four wheeler decides to make a lane change...But then again maybe motorists in Greece are more aware of motorcycles.

..those vids make my stomach turn.. I filter on the motorway all the time; saves me 30mins on a 75 mile trip, typically. If you tried riding like these guys on the M25 (London orbital), you be dead very quickly....

...I couldn't give a toss about them, it's the poor buggers they hit that I feel sorry for..

I don't trust other drivers nearly enough to split lanes like that.
I've seen far too many idiots on the highway and you never know what they're gonna do.

Hey, thanks for your nice words and good critic. Usually there is a lot of bashing.

The camera has a fish eye effect which makes it seem a little bit more awesome.
It was dangerous indeed but it was safer for me as the ninja warned the drivers. The most dangerous part is when I leave the Ninja behind.

The bike needs some tuning on its Power Commander as after I changed exhausts there is slow response from the throttle.
My gloves were sticky cause I used them for my halloween costume.

Like I said, I dont ride like that. Here is where I broke my leg.I didn t even fall down, it just got caught and twisted.

Dont expect to see something exciting, it happens at 1.05

That's pretty normal for most European cities.

As he says, it looks much faster & tighter than it really is.

It's easy to condemn what you don't/can't do, from thousands of miles away.

Come over here & I'll take you out for a ride on the "Peripherique" in Paris. It's a buzz!

I've been more scared at 80mph being passed by a big rig on one side & a pickup with a gooseneck on the other, in the rain.
That was in Kentucky on the super-slab.

"Thats just too risky, completly wreakless and foolish.....try to deny that......."

I am not denying any of those.

"Thats not cool"
Cant have an unbiased opinion, cant respond to that.

"or even worth posting"
Meh...we ve seen worst posts.

Other than that, I think it is interesting to see what this bike is able to do, just for the record. Especially since Harley bashers are breaking harley owners balls.

Hey, just my two cents worth, but thanks for posting, Nick. I sent the link to a friend stationed overseas who reluctantly sold his Night Rod before shipping out.
I've lived and ridden in countries where lane splitting was the norm, but never accompanied by the soundtrack of a V-Twin.
Please wear gloves next time, though.

Was it smart for him to ride like that? I don't know, I wasn't there so I'm not going to judge and call the op an or an idiot. I by no means ride like that

As stated in your other thread, lane splitting is viewed differently in a lot of Europe. My friend who grew up in Europe agreed.

Why are you so bent out of shape? Maybe you should just get a cruiser

I think... in usa it would/could/should be tolerated if you were moving just slightly over what other cars are moving. 5-10mph over what others are moving at is true lane splitting IMO. I do it occasionally but no where near as fast as that dude. He was clearly speeding way over the speedlimit. (if there was one) And clearly dangerous. I would not even use the term "lane splitting"... unless it actually included the word WRECKLESS and/or SPEEDING as well.

Maybe something like:
"LANE_soon to be injured or cause injury to others_SPLITTING

Text book on how not to ride a motorcycle.

Maximize danger to yourself, provide maximum inconvenience and annoyance - (frighten the daylights out of) other road users and wear inappropriate safety gear.

Nice work.

Wow. I thought by the description that it would be a cool video....then I watched it.

That doesn't show the capabilities of a VROD??

I'm surprised you are here to tell about it. I don't need to yell at you about it, it appears you are well aware of your foolishness. However, there are many young impressionable riders around here, and let me just say to them: this gut is an idiot for riding this way! Please don't ride like that. ever. It's a death wish, and we'd like you here riding for a life time. Please wear all your gear, all the time. Responsibility and fun CAN go hand in hand!

Hope you don't gamble your life again like that. Take the Buell to the track, way more fun.
