Just trying to get a feel from everyone that has t-Rex stands. I'm on the fence about them right now. My main concern is I need them to work with both my XB and my CR.

I on the site it says they do and I emailed them and got a quick response saying the will work but I would like to hear first hand from some one that had them.

Thanxs in advance. Hope this doesn't end up as a t-Rex vs pit bull fight, I really like the pitbulls but just can't swing twice the price for stands right now

Well, I know for a fact my front Pitbull will work on my XB, 1125, and Blast all just by changing the pin. My rear one will work on all the twins fine but its too wide for the Blast so I got a cheapo one locally.

The T-rex stuff is nice, and I have used them on my XB. Whatever you get, make sure the front is the kind that lifts at the tree, not the fork. The T-rex fork lifts block the axle, so you wouldn't be able to remove it while lifted.

Froggy I intend on getting the tree lift, t- Rex says I can also remove the tree adapter and use it as just a fork lift. They haven't mentioned anything about changing pins in the different trees ( even thought it's the same pn for the lower triple right?)
I'll have to give them a phone call I guess and see what they say, there email just seamed like to generic of a response

I haven't used T-rex's tree stand, so I don't know what to say.

On the Pits, there is different size pins that go into the steering neck to lift the bike. I cheat and use the XB pin on my 1125s when I am lazy, but the 1125 pin will hold it more stable.

The T-rex front stand I have will lift from the forks or you put the adaptor on and it will lift from the steering head. I've found the the steering head setup rubs on the front fender so I usually pull it off first. Other than that I love them. Their great for even cleaning the rims.

You have to make sure you get the right pin for the steering head. They do NOT come with the correct pin! T-Rex stands that is.

Indy is it an easy fix? Can the trex pins be swaped out easily?
I'm fine with the idea of buying a pin for each bike if I need to.

What pins are the correct ones?

I just bought a set of T-Rex off eBay. They will ship one correct pin if you tell them what bike you have. Additional pins are available, at an additional charge. I made extras. The instructions tell you to beware of damaging the front fender. I'd like to have a spot to keep spare pins as I now have three. S2, XB and Blast. One set screw to swap the pins. They did not advise using the tree lift on the S2. Fairing interference seems to be the issue. I've only used them on the XB so far. They work fine and were pretty cheap! I'm confused that the rear won't work for Froggy on a Blast. Swing Arms are the same width as tubers. Or mine are anyway.

I'll take a pic tonight, it barley fits the Blast, but doesn't fit it enough to hold the bike comfortably. No way to adjust it either to make it fit better, but it doesn't matter since I got the cheapo stand for it now.

Hey Will,I got a set of T-rex stands if you wanna come check them out.Maybe get a ride in too. I put a towel over the front fender to keep from scratching it when I use the front stand.I have had them for 4/5 years and I can't complain about'em.

I got my set of T-Rex for my 12r and they worked great. I sold the 12r and picked up an 1125r and they work great on it as well.

I do all of my own tire changes and they perform just great for me. With any steering stem pin lift you have to watch the front fender since there is minimal space b/t the stand and fender when inserting the pin into the stem.

3 years ago when I got mine they came with 3-4 pins. IIRC I didn't change the pin b/t the 12r and 1125.

T-Rex works great on an X1. I have a CF fender so I don't have to worry about it. If it were any thicker it would rub but the CF is so thin there's no problem. I bought mine off e-bay a while back. The rears are inter-changable for either swing arm or spools and if you take the tree off of the front you can also pick it by the forks with the supplied pieces. Every thing I needed came with them. I ordered a set specifically for a Buell.

My rear t-rex wont work on the 1125(to skinny), but it works wonderful on the XBs.

I've got a brand new Pitbull front stand I picked up from Appleton HD for $75 last year. Wish they would have had a rear as well.

The pitbulls do seem better made than the T-Rex.

I decided to just make my own rear stand, using the Pitbull adapters A good friend's son is taking a welding class and needed a project to do anyhow : )

Steve- if I hadn't moved away from my parents / had access again to a welder I would be all over that in a second. Thanks for the prints, I will have to save them for when I need a second set.

I thought the rear stand might be a little tight and was willing to open it up a little with a bottle jack an a block of wood.

is it a difference between the V handle the offer and the straight handle version? Also how old is your rear stand? Maybe there was a REV change.

Steve:

I was able to get my rear to work just by trimming the square tubing that holds the interface support. I took a Sawsall and removed about an 1/8" on the inboard side of each arm. 5 mins and I was done.

I also added 2 1" pieces of 1/4" key-stock on the bottom of the swingarm. There is a boss on the bottom. Remove a little powdercoat and add a little JB Weld to hold the key-stock and I'm golden. Some place I actually have some picts.
