It is 65F degrees in East Tennessee and it has been a cloudy on and off rainy day and just moments ago as my wife was cooking on the grille we got hammered by hail for about three minutes, a clearing and then again for about three more minutes. I missed it but the wife said there was hail piled up on the dog's back as she took her in. Now the sun is coming out and it is fifty three degrees. Weatherman says we are headed for the mid thirties tonight with just enough chance of frost to probably kill the fruit tree and garden buds. That is if the hail didn't get them! Now(ten minutes later)there is a wall of dark gray clouds heading South instead of East as it was moments ago. A nasty little front indeed! |

It snowed most of the day in Upstate NY. Maybe more tonight. I'll be glad when summer finally gets here. |

Yeah we got that hailish storm down here as well. It was beautiful then the wind picked up nasty like. I tried to let the dogs out before it got too bad. The three elders were like hell no. The pup went out, the wind knocked him on his ass and seconds after he high tailed it back into the house the sky opened up for hours. |

And people say climate change is a hoax! The climate is always changing, if it didn't we would need NOAA or forecasters. |

Not happening now. But 20 years ago I was in OKC Oklahoma in early January when I arrived there they got 14 inches of snow dumped on them the the next couple days it was in the mid 70's and made a real mess of things. |

Aw, c'mon Ken...hail is fun. It exfoliates the skin, helps circulation or some such thing... LOL |

Saw a tornado this afternoon just before 5pm. It was just a funnel cloud really, descending from a nasty looking small storm cell. It went horizontal and was spinning counter clockwise for 20 min or so and dissipated. The storm cell was moving pretty fast toward the northeast. I like the springtime for all the trippy weather. It's good to be alive and in Northeast Oregon! By the way, no rain fell on me during this storm. I live on the dry side of the state. |
