OK so I adjusted the clutch per the owners manual. backed it all the way out, and a 1/4 turn in. before I adjusted it with the clutch pulled all the way in it still grabbed a little and wanted to roll some. The initial bight was right as you started to let the clutch out. now the clutch grabs just before you let it out all the way. My question is does this seam right after you adjust the clutch? The bike is a 2003 XB9R, with 9k miles. I believe this is the first time the clutch has been adjusted. |

backed it all the way out, and a 1/4 turn in. Backed what all the way out? If you mean the ramp adjust behind the inspection cover, you did it backwards, you should have turned it all the way in, and then turned it out 1\4 turn. |

You mean all the way in until it just makes contact, right? |

Mine starts grabbing about half way but doesn't really hook up until almost all the way out. Makes shifting when rolling really simple, but not so great from a stop. |

I just rechecked service manual. and followed it. I took screw 3 and went CCW which backed it out

Actually what it does is pull the plate in tighter which makes it look like it is backing out. As far as I know, you did it correctly. |
