I wanted a Metzeler Z6, they wanted $204.99... Website said $148.99, store said its a typo. After much discussion I win my discount. And some other discounts. Name dropping helps sometimes too... |

I have always been happy the few times I have bought at CG. I just wished the store was less than 2 hours away, that way it is easier to exchange stuff that doesn't fit. |

They have a nice store. Bought my pilot roads from them and will be back to have them mount and balance them. Just gotta stop riding long enough. |

I got a set of Pirelli Diablo's there for $199 out the door. The one time I had to return something, it was a pair of Frank Thomas gloves. They began to unravel at the fingertip after a month. I went in, they exchanged them for me at full credit towards a pair of Alpinestars. No hassle at all. Cute girls at the one by me too! |

Wish they weren't so far away. They do a great job of customer service. They will also haggle in store as well. I always ask "is this the best deal you guys can give me", and usually they will knock a few bucks off. I try to buy as much from them as I can. I've actually bought more from the Knoxville store than the Hendersonville store. |

That's always a tough call on the wrong advertised price. If the price was low enough and enough people took advantage it culd put them out of business. I wonder what the law says about that? Of course, there is always the store that puts a low price on an item to get you in but really only had a few. I think the law says that they have to say in the advertisment that it is 'limited quantity'. I look at how I'm treated in those type of situations. If it truly seems like a mistake that I can live with that. I had a problem many years ago with CA (I'm not badmouthing them BTW) where I ordered a pair of riding pants and then a couple cans of spray stuff. It showed up on my bill before it was shipped then the cans came with a note that said the pants weren't available, and there was an $8 shipping charge + the charge for the pants. When I called CA the rep was rude and denied that they would charge me. I have yet to order something from them since and may some day but that bad rep cost them a fair amount of money over the years. |

If it's an obvious pricing error, like mis-placing a period - $19.99 compared to $199.99 for a tire - then they can refuse selling at the printed price, as long as they stop printing the advertisement. If it's a reasonable discount, like the $148.99 compared to $204.99, then they have to honor the sale price. If a retailer advertises a low price and has nothing in stock, but tries to sell you other items, it's called bait-and-switch and it's illegal. Consult your local DA to have them investigate it. If a retailer puts an item up for sale, they must have a reasonable supply of the item in stock. If they say "limited quantity," then they're being honest about their supply. |

It's a tough call. When I was running an Abercrombie & Fitch, I would normally give the first person who noticed the mislabeled price the discount, but would change the price before any more errors occurred. That said, when someone picked up an item and then hung it in the wrong place below a discount sign, we didn't honor those mistakes. |

No retailer is required to sell anything to anyone- regardless of what their advertisement says. They could run an ad stating all tires are a penny, but they have no legal obligation to sell them at that price. The most a consumer could do is lodge a false advertising complaint. Of course, other than a bait and switch tactic, there's no incentive for a retailer to purposely run ads with unrealistic pricing- pissing customers off is not good for business. Cycle Gear is one of the most customer-friendly companies I have ever seen, and having worked there for a couple of years I can honestly say they are one of the most employee-friendly companies you'll ever find. Kudos to Cycle Gear. |
