I have had my Buell for a little over two years know. I talk about them when ever I can. I love going out to bike night and talking about bikes. I try to tell as meny people as I can. I have a friend I work with he wanted to get a Harley,(he is 23) I told him to look at a Buell. After a while I finaly broke him down, he went out and got a 2008 XB12R. My other friend has a 1200cc Sportster. We give him crap all the time about it, girls bike, baby harley, ect ect. I let him ride my bike one time we where out and got him hooked. He recently bought a 2009 XB12R. Any one else talk some one out of a different bike to get a Buell. |

I've stopped "converting" folks to Buellism. I've converted dozens (and helped them start to complete the financing paperwork). Somehow converting others to Buell now is like describing a heaven they will never see. |

My cousin was interested in Buell's before I got mine. After I got my Uly he disappeared on it for a while, and ended up getting a Lightning. He traded that in for an 1125R, crashed it a few times, and traded it in for a Fat Hog or something. |

More than anyone who doesn't/didn't work for the company or its agents. I prefer to think it's like Triumph FB. The Hinckley factory produced more bikes last year than Meriden or Coventry in their heydays during the 'Golden age'. (Message edited by danger_dave on April 23, 2010) |

Hell yeah. Just after I invented the internet. Turned the fortunes of the Scrambler around single-handedly too. |

I worked March Badness for six years. I know just through that we made quite a few friends that ended up on a Buell. How many? Who knows. I do know however, that the first year we broke the record for Buell demos that had stood for 10 years, and each year after that we did as many demos as time allowed. Our BRAG club started out with seven people, and at it's peak had over 35 members. It was a fun ride. |

Got two to join the collective the same way I was assimilated. I let them ride mine! My friend rode mine and three weeks later, traded in a 2 year old road glide for a XT and 3k cash. Another at work ended up getting a used 9 after just one ride. An unknown converted me... asked about the then new XT and he asked if I wanted to take it for a ride... 6 or 8 months of eating away at my brain later... I knew I had to have one. Power, a 70's caddy ride (that could be fully adjusted), sportbike handling, heated grips and hard bags. Said 'screw it' and traded in the 883R (which I really liked); none in stock at the local dealer, but one was coming in the next week... I said "SOLD", he said "I don't even know what color it is", I said "I don't care it's going to be red or blue, either way I want it". Picked it up two weeks later, rode out of the dealership in the rain ("Are you sure you don't want us to deliver it to your house with our pickup? Those tires are new.)and did 1,500 miles in the rain (mostly) over the next three days, a smile on my face the whole time. |

A lot of guys I ride with are just amazed with how much I know about BMC *Thanks Court and Dave!* and the history surrounding the trilogy of technology. Especially with the XBs and 1125r. I don't just stand around and talk about Buells, but when questioned, I give them a hearty answer and that sparks curiosity which eventually leads to a test ride and as we all know...it's all over after that. I cannot directly claim any Buell converts, but I think that through a show and tell type of interaction/conversation we do plant the seed of innovation in a fertile mind. >> hes right about the scrambler<< I took umbrage at the Telegraph's assertion that the vehicle 'wasn't to be taken off your driveway' because I'd already given it a good flogging off road and it had coped real well. I saw knobby tyes and got it dirty - she saw chrome and only rode it on the road. Fortunately the thread on ADV has had over a million views and pretty much all the posts agree with me. A British tank - in the good sense of the word. I've been even more brutal with the contributor to my mag who panned the XB12X. UUUUUUUUUUUHHHHH! WRONG-G-G-G dipstick. |
