Well, I've got news about my visit to the Cardiologist today. First, he said he's happy with the sound of my lungs, my heart, my blood pressure, and did a blood test to check my cholesteral level, which he'll notify me of when the results come back. Second, he said I could increase my activity to include lifting weights, (up to 25 lbs., curls bicep and tricep type) and released me to go to work the first of May, with light duty restrictions for a month, then gradually working my way back to normal. He also approved driving and riding, since I've been riding a few minutes a day for a couple of weeks anyway. He said I was right on track with the increase in activity, levels of medication. attitude,(Hornrey and stubborn, go figure)and that he didn't need to see me for a year. He didn't even give me a scrip for Nitro Glycerin... So I just wanted to let ya'll know that the Good Lord is working in me and through me and I'm gonna be just fine. |

Fuzzz- very glad to hear it. If you can get it, I highly recommend taking a cardio rehab class. Between my insurance and the state vocational rehab here, I didn't have to pay a dime. The class consisted of a ~1 hour lecture three days a week followed by exercise. One day the class would be about reducing stress, another day it would be about diet, and the other day it was about the physiology of heart disease. It helped me a lot for dealing with it and getting over it. |

Fuzzz, good on you. Keep up the positive attitude. Also, consider adding fish oil and flaxseed to your diet. |
