Just picked up one of the new Double Down sandwiches from KFC. For those not in the know, it is basically a bacon and cheese sandwich with boneless fried chicken breasts as the bread.

My shoddy cell-phone snap:

Holy moly! This thing is actually not that bad. You can't really taste the bacon too much because the fried chicken and cheese takes over, but it is really darn good. We all know it isn't the healthiest thing, but then again KFC isn't health food. If you were to eat one or more a day, yeah...you'd be buying your cardiologist a new house. But as an every-once-in-a-while treat, not too shabby. Has anyone else here grabbed one yet?

I saw one of TV the other day and I started drooling instantly. I'm with you on the "every-once-in-a-while treat". I think I may have to break down and get one. It's just too good of a culinary idea to pass up.

I like the idea, but I've never been a fan of Kentucky "Fried" Chicken...

The chicken itself isn't so bad, but their potatoes are like wallpaper paste and the gravy is like water.

I must say, it looks pretty good... I may have to break protocol and try one.

My brother and I made some homemade fried chicken last night...

I won't tell you my recipe, but I'll say these three words: "Pork-Fried Chicken"

The Colonel is a punk. He doesn't even know about chicken.

I finally got one today for lunch. It was so good. I think part of that was because I knew it was so bad. That and I poured honey mustard on it to feel even dirtier.

I like maple syrup to dip the bacon in.

Here is a gross question: (note: YOU WERE WARNED) I've had diarrhea for two days. So, would it even be in me long enough to raise my HDL?

Probably but not by much. HDL isn't all that bad. It's your LDL that is really bad. HDL can actually help your arteries.

KFC's product development plan is entirely dare-based at this point. They may have one-upped the "shame bowl" with this one, but what's next? I'm thinking chicken-fried jalapeno poppers, but filled with brown gravy instead of cheese.

I'll stick with my Big Jack Daddy burger from BWW. Every Thursday night, someone at work makes a run to pick up boneless wings for everyone. Every week, I opt for the burger instead of wings.

It's hard to beat a chunk of beef covered in pulled pork.

^^^ Look! ^^^ 50 grams of protein! It's healthy!

It's too late now, but hopefully some of you were able to eat a Meat Lover's Trio breakfast from Denny's while they were serving it. $8 for chicken fried steak, bacon, sausage, two eggs, and hash browns smothered in cheese.

It's good to be 23 years old, 135 lbs, and have the freedom to eat anything : )

Just had one. It was good but not $5.94, for just the sandwich, good. There's a B-dubs 30 miles E. and W. of where I live and I try to get there as often as possible. The OP should be getting vouchers for drumming up business.
