I don't know, I was yacking at my doctor the other day about getting testosterone replacement, and we got talking about cholesterol, or was I talking to my future father-in-law, I don't know I'm confused, but what I remember about one of those conversations was that once the cholesterol is in your arteries it is there for good, unless of course you have a by-pass or stint put in. Whats the word on the Badweb? I would trust you guys more than my doctor, crap, he doesn't even ride a bike! |

I don't worry about my cholesterol. My doctor said she's worried about it and I see no sense in BOTH of us staying up late at night. |

I should have been more specific. What scares me is if this stuff is or was ever true we would never know it because the big money Co. would kill it just like synthetic fuel and electric vehicles were squashed until they couldn't conceal them anymore. It is all a sham. we are in for it thats for sure.

Well I was not worried about my colesterol until two weeks ago when I was In the hospital with chest pains. Had two stints put in two weeks ago today. 95% blockage in my main artery. They sent me home the next day. Amazing what they can do in 40 mins. The doctor told me I was the luckiest person in the hospital that day. Glad I got to ride the buell again after that. Glad you made it. My doc hates me riding, afraid I'll crash & undo all the work. My bitch is the cholesterol meds really screwed me up, and Recovery is very slow. Watch the meds. They got real miracle drugs now that are awesome. They can also destroy you. I spent way more time in the hospital dealing with drug problems than cardiac. Read the warning labels, and if you get put on cholesterol drugs, ( and you will they give them out like popcorn ) and you get muscle pain, talk to your doc, right away. Really. |

Quite a lot of it is good advice, helpful hints, and common sense. The medical paranoia and hype! Hype! HYPE! is bogus. The trouble is, if you know enough to separate the good advice from the bull crap..... you don't need the advice. If you are clueless, you got a 50% chance of helping or hurting yourself. When there's more !!!! than content, and the secrets are on page 56 of a book they want you to buy????? !!!!!! Eat some fruit instead. ( but not grapefruit! it can interact with your meds and make them too powerful!!!!! ) ! !!!!! Actually I mean it about the grapefruit. |

I'm laughing then, don't like grapefruit, never have. Mr Grumpy's top 10 healthcare tips. #1 Have a good laugh every day. #2 Don't take things too seriously, after all we're not doing Brain surgery here. (Unless you're a brain surgeon, in which case think about Rocket Science) #3 Eat, drink, smoke what you like, but don't whinge to me about it if you do it to excess. #4 Don't bottle up stress, let it out, it's much better passing it on to others. #5 Cram as much into life as you can, you've no idea how long you've got. #6 Spread what happiness you can, it'll make you feel better & others too. #7 Be tolerant of others & hope they'll be tolerant of you. #8 Win the lottery. #9 Ride when you can. #10 Don't eat grapefruit or yellow snow or anything that looks back at you from the plate. Be well my friends, books are for reading, the internet is for reference. And Porn! |

Here's my uncle a few hours after they put three stents in his heart. He works for Abbot where they actually make the stents... Funny story, he made the surgeon get the serial numbers for the stents they were going to use, and he had some coworkers check the production run for quality control. THEN he gave the go-ahead... He's doing fine, and he gets out to ride every chance he gets. |

It is like the farmers almanac I have a copy from a couple of years ago that was gifted to me. some funny stuff odd stuff... and then theres the wTF stuff. Nothing a doctor would ever call a cure, because he cant charge for it... but there is some stuff in there for snoring and eczema that worked well. |
