Saw the original Wall concert in L.A. lonnnng time ago... it was great. At the end of the first half they shot fireworks off on stage. Shortly after the second half began they had to stop to put out the smoldering curtains above that were dropping pieces onto the floor audience. A co-worker saw the second show the next night, there weren't any fireworks. |

Gilmour's guitar work in "Comfortably Numb" is absolutely brilliant...perhaps the most moving in all of rock music. Only God himself knows how may Pink Floyd albums I bought and wore out over the years...I still have and play a complete collection |

When i saw him a few years ago he played Darkside in it's entirety. Which is a great album and the reason for my name. Ticket was 95 if i remember correctly |

Summer of 1973...a friend called and told me about a tiny low powered FM radio station in the Altamonte Springs....it was 107.7 WORJ in those days....anyway they would play new albums front to back without interruption at midnight on Saturdays.... My friend was excited about the announcement by the station that saturday's music would be from (as yet unheard of my myself) Pink Floyd...Of course I scoffed at the name but gave it a listen....the rest is history....Darkside was on the Billboard charts for 15 years!!! It was the first album that I could put on my (this dates my azz for sure) Bang & Olufsen turntable....and crank the old Sansui series G amp to max and enjoy every song...Now I NEED it that loud just to hear it all |
