A couple, local to My area were killed Tuesday by a train while riding their motorcycle. It seems they didn't see the gate, which was down, as they hit the gate and were thrown onto the Tracks. The train had to be stopped, as it wasn't known that the Train had even Hit them. The worst part of this is that they left behind Five Children. God Bless. This makes Three deaths in less than three weeks from the same small city. |

Roadcouch, are you talking about Chittenango or somewhere else? That's where I'm from but haven't heard anything about this! |

This makes little to no sense the Gate is down and the train is already there? Sounds more like suicide than an accident. How do you accidentally not see a train, gate, or flashing lights? Really! I am very sorry for those kids! (Message edited by drkside79 on April 14, 2010) |

Sorry for people, very sorry for kids, sorry for train crew. The crew has to live with the very bad consequences of someone else's actions. |

I feel terrible for those kids. I've also known quite a few guys who have worked on train crews who have had to deal with the aftermath of a collision, and sadly, they have to live with it. Unfortunately, NOT everyone is paying attention, or really knows what the front brake is for, or any number of other reasons for something as horrible as this to happen. Just a reminder to the rest of us to stay sharp. I sure as hell would not want to put my kids through anything like that. |

Bill, how about shutting it. Like you know a damn thing about who they were. But I'll tell ya what, the more you say, the more obvious it becomes who you are. Seriously, are you trying to get a moderator stirred up, or what? ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on April 15, 2010) |
