Since this area gets more traffic than the racing board I thought I'd add this here too for those who are interested.
If you have never seen a mile flat track like San Jose (extinct) or Springfield they are impressive.

Two new mile races have been added to the Grand National series.
One on May 1st and one on October 10th at Yavapai Downs in Presott Valley, AZ.
There will also be a 1/2 mile (singles only) race on October 9th.

The mile is the next best thing to a TT. Cool stuff.

You've got that backwards. A TT is the next best thing to a Mile. But both are pretty damned good to watch.

I saw the "Last" San Jose Mile, twice!

They used to run in Sacramento, and San Jose both.
