quote:Crusty said: And if I believe that I have a responsibility to assist other Americans who are not as fortunate as I am, and so pay taxes to the betterment of all...
Crusty is getting even more opportunities to pay taxes for the "betterment" of all. Medical deduction means test will be raised from 7.5% to 10% of MAGI. None of the Democrats who voted for the so-called Health Care Bill bothered to read it. Now this... Hey brother, can you spare $39 Billion? "Taxpayers can currently deduct medical expenses in excess of 7.5 percent of their adjusted gross income. Starting in 2013, most taxpayers will only be able to deduct expenses greater than 10 percent of AGI. Older taxpayers are hit by this threshold increase in 2017. Once the law is fully implemented in 2019, the JCT estimates the deduction limitation will affect 14.8 million taxpayers — 14.7 million of them will earn less than $200,000 a year. These taxpayers are single and joint filers, as well as heads of households." President Obama said in his February 2009 State of the Union Speech: "If your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased by a single dime. I repeat -- not one single dime." I found out within 24 hours of passage, that my tax bill goes up ~$600 with the new FSA limitations that became law. We do not make anything close to $250K. It is only going to get worse as we find out the details. Amazingly, people of the liberal persuasion are still covering for this liar. When do they wake up? When? |

People who buy the "betterment of all" rope-a-dope are like battered wives who feel like they deserved the punch in the eye. |

any time you got a politician that can monday morning quarter back your trigger decision and affect your ROE , you are on the sliding slope of a loosing defensive battle. I dont agree with Bush on Iraq, I dont agree with Obama on HealthCare. I think they have both muddle mucked in crap that out have been done different.... (the terrorists were Saudi, Mecca/Medina should have been hit. Iran & Iraq if left to their own devices will kill themselves with internal Shitte/Sunni infighting.) If Obama wanted to do meaningful reform to Healthcare, he should look no further than the illegal immigrant population over utilization of said architecture. |

City, The difference is, that the Health takeover bill could, in theory, be repealed before it does too much damage. I doubt it, I don't have much faith in the existing R's having a backbone, but it's possible. The Iraqi front is nearly "over" as far as mass U.S. troop involvement goes. It's now a matter of keeping the Iranians from getting their way, since they are the #1 problem in the region, IF you don't count China & Russia. I have to ask, if a dozen plus Italian terrorists, plus a few from Belgium, killed a bunch of people, claiming God and the Saints told them too, calling themselves the "catholic revengers" would you nuke the Vatican? Ok, I suppose it depends on what the Pope said, if he was supportive of the attack, I could see your point, but even if he liked the "revengers" cause, he'd be nuts to say so. Most muslims are not bad people, by a huge margin. Only a very few are violent a--holes, although years of hateful propaganda have about 200,000,000+ thinking it's cool to kill Americans for their god. ( note that's about the non illegal population of the U.S. ) Destroying the holy cities of a whole faith for the actions of a few? Not good. If the Saudi King had danced on tv after 9/11 and claimed credit for the attack..... maybe. Now I have my dislike for their faith, but that's theological except when imposed on others. Any attitude I have on submission to a god based on a con job to get troops to kill for you is just froth compared to the reality of Sharia law being imposed in free nations. Good luck Europe, you need it. Iran & Iraq if left to their own devices will kill themselves with internal Shitte/Sunni infighting. Iran kill lots of Iraqis? yes, left to their own. What good does that do? In fact that's what the problem has been in the Iraqi front from the beginning. You can't let terrorists be supplied from next door and have a haven there, or you don't win. Irregular forces need that support or they lose, period. We didn't seal the borders, or even focus on them. Dumb Dumb Dumb. Same with Obama's genius strategy on the afghan front. Or at least I don't see it. AQ guys came from all over to attack Iraqi's, I'm cynical enough to think that may have been the centerpiece of the Bush strategy. "kill them over there, instead of here" with the unspoken corollary, "that way Iraqi's will get killed by AQ, not American civilians" But. Iran is the big supplier of arms and stirrer of religious hatred, in Iraq & the region as a whole. I'm still royally pissed that they get away with what they do, with no noticeable kickback. Partly because they continue to be the proxy killer/screwer of west for China & Russia. ungood. Sanctions just hurt the people. The Regime in Iran, just like Saddam, love the sanctions because it's a reason to point the Iranian peoples anger at Tehran at the West, instead. Too bad the former Prez. didn't deal with Iran, before he left. Too bad the current one won't even support the people of Iran as they are oppressed by the theocratic military dictatorship that he keeps "trying to talk to". I can't tell if he's a fraking fool, or on the side of the dictators, your call. Bless the Americans troops who have done such a great job saddled with the insane ROE's and "sensitivity" crap they have to deal with. America's best effort in the middle east are a fart in a sandstorm. We are dealing with people who have been manipulated by evil irrational people for generations...centuries, in a land where war and hatred for the tribe in the next valley is 14 thousand + years old. Like it or not, Iraq becoming a Republic in fact is the most positive thing in that region since the Brit's left after WW2. Is it going to last? Up to them. |

http://article.nationalreview.com/431421/so-what-h appened-to-iraq/victor-davis-hanson Gee, why are there no protests about American troops in Iraq, today? I guess Obama taking credit for the success makes it all good now. Yea! Obama! |

is becuase the war has continued fom the first and people have heard it everyday that thy don't pay attention as much as they did when Bush was around. back then the economy was not as bad as now so people payed attention, all that people want now is jobs but Obama does not get it YET. he still thinks is better to be able to go to a doctor but not have money to feed your family. the other thing i don't understand is that when he signed it into law why did he have a black kid and not a white kid present. is it becuase blacks are the ones to benefit the most from this since most are on welfare! |

Ok, I googled it. The very first link that came up says whites form the largest group of people on welfare. And you did say it, right there a few messages back. Your words, I quoted you. |

It's not at all that thy don't pay attention as much it's that the media no longer bothers to report bad news from a front where Obama has declared himself a winner. That would be against the grain for them to criticize Obama. Racist even if it wasn't the media. Don't buy into the lies. Don't forget you can lie by not telling the other side, the MSM is very good at that. The Black kid thing? Showmanship, not a thing we can fault him for, he's damn good at it. The white coats issued by the white house to doctors for photo ops, the echo chamber voice effects, all brilliant. I dispute that most blacks are on welfare, That's you buying into a stereotype you got from somewhere. Maybe the racist mainstream media that loves to show minorities as oppressed, under privileged wards of the state. ( and keep them there ) Or even that they will benefit most. Obama will benefit most. It has nothing to do with Obama thinking it's better to go to a doctor, it's that 1/6 of the economy is now on the way to being a govt. monopoly. If Obama controls the student loans, he controls the medical school selection process, and decides which specialists will be allowed. How much pay doctors will get and what they will be allowed, or forced, to do. That's what the health takeover bill was all about. It won't do it all at once, but the infection is well established in the patient ( the country ) and without drastic measures, will overwhelm it. Already changes are in the works to "fix" Obamacare and get rid of those pesky flaws. Flaws like Congress needing to get it's own health care setup cleared up, or the lack of a tax paid plan to take over when the current insurance companies are driven out of business. Hours of hate speech from Obama, Congress, and his minions in the press, and the rate increases that are forced on insurance companies by the other parts of Obamacare are the means to destroy the "evil, greedy" insurance companies. Just watch. Take a look at the financial figures, when did the market plunge? Go to MSN.com moneycentral. Look at the S&P 500 numbers 3-5-10 years out. Notice the timing on drops. bear in mind 8 years of lies from the Dems "the worst economy since the great depression" notice when the Dems' got back into power in Congress. Note the big drop when Obama was nominated. If you were a money manager guy, and the guy who's favored for the next Prez. has his campaign based on socialist/progressive/communist class and capitalist hatred rhetoric. If the next ruler is promising to go after you and take your wealth to please the mob he's arousing, would you not unload stocks & bonds and buy Gold and stash your money as cash? The guys that make the big decisions aren't politicians, they work on probabilities and think up hedge funds, to cover their asses when the market bounces. When told that rape is inevitable, they don't relax & enjoy it, they stash their cash in St. Thomas, and sell Citigroup. That's August 2008. |

Whites welfare recipients outweigh black recipients two to one. There are a proportionately larger percentage of black recipients, though. With 33% of the total recipients being black and blacks representing 14% of the population, there is a disproportionate weighting. There are currently 13.5M welfare recipients. At 33%, that's 4.46M. At 14% of the population, that's 42M. That's 10.6% of black people on welfare. If all of the 9.04M of the remaining welfare recipients were white, there would be 3.37% of the white population on welfare, or roughly a 3 times multiple. Hardly "all". http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1077/is_n2_ v48/ai_12970819/pg_2/?tag=content;col1 |
