1After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.
Matthew 28:1-6
55"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"
"... the resurrection, the joyful end of the Easter story, ... resists a noncommittal response. ... It's hard for a non-Christian believer to say, "Yes, I believe that Jesus of Nazareth was crucified, died, was buried, and rose from the dead." That's not something you can believe without some serious ramifications: If you believe that Jesus rose from the dead, this has profound implications for your spiritual and religious life — really, for your whole life. If you believe the story, then you believe that Jesus is God, or at least God's son. What he says about the world and the way we live in that world then has a real claim on you. Easter is an event that demands a "yes" or a "no." There is no "whatever. ..." - http://www.slate.com/id/2249525/
I just returned from playing for our two later services (trumpet player in the brass choir). What a beautiful day. Not much lip left for the final Hallelujah Chorus but enough but to do a great celebaration of His resurrection.

Church with mom. I am so thankful for her, I cherish every moment. I'm even more thankful that Jesus died for me and prepared a place for this wonderful woman where no harm can ever come to her.
We must all take the time, right now, to tell the ones we love that we do love them. Keep doing it as often as possible, because you never know when it will be the last time.
Happy belated Easter Badwebbers. I was spending time with family all weekend and could not get to a computer. Well, I could, just didn't want to. It's good to know there's so many like minded people around.
