Check out the perforated jacket I just ordered: Scorpion Stinger
Normally $400, but I nabbed it for just under $150! Newenough has the red and blue ones on sale, so I can finally afford a perforated leather jacket to replace my mesh Fieldsheer. Heck, this'll be the first full leather motorcycle jacket I've owned! Even my trusty Joe Rocket is only half n' half. I'm stoked! After this I'll need to look into some different riding pants. My Fieldsheer mesh ones are falling apart at the seams. ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on April 02, 2010) |

My only problem with Scorpion is that, from what I can gather, it is an entirely Chinese company, hence the reason all the helmets run a size smaller than indicated when you compare them to other major brands. I have an older Exo700 that I love, but can't wear sunglasses with (pads get in the way and lift the glasses off my nose!). ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on April 02, 2010) |

I've had my Stinger for 2 years. Spectacular jacket! I normally wear a medium jacket, but I figured with the perforated leather I would use it in warmer weather only. Without the liner. The medium without the liner was extremely loose fitting, and the sleeves seemed extra long. So I ordered the small and cant wear it with the liner as its too tight. Without the liner though, its perfect! I love it. I have a few of their jackets, and pants too. No helmets though. Everything I have from them is either made in China or Cambodia.

Yeah, it just came in yesterday. I ordered the Large, and wasn't entirely pleased with the fit. My chest measurement is 42", so I figured the 44" Large would be what I needed, but even with he liner out it pulls pretty tight through the chest, back, and armpits. The liner was impossibly tight. BUT other than that, the jacket is AMAZING. Materials are the best I've seen, way above my Joe Rocket and Fieldsheer. The leather is heavy, but really soft ("it rubs the lotion on it's skin", apparently!), and the zippers are freakin' industrial. I've got an exchange in the works to get the XL. That's the one drawback to Scorpion, their sizes seem pretty wonky, no matter what you're buying. ~SM |
