My last $.02:
Over the brief life of A&R, 2 things have become obvious to me: They (?) never had much respect for Buell or Buell fans in the past (more than a faint wiff of "goingfaster/american angst" pseudointellectual crap there) - and - generating chatter through controversy is a lot better for the hit counter than writing anything responsible (The TTXGP hit piece is a flaming example, if anybody needs one).
If they really wanted to set the internet on fire, they would have started a rumor about, say, Honda coming out with a 200lb featherbed style cafe racer with a CR450R engine in it. Of course, nobody in the real world actually wants one, but everybody who rides a keyboard says they will buy one right now!! But said core audience of keyboard riders would get pissed either after several months of wishful thinking had faded or they got arrested for harassing Honda's staff. And then the writer would have to reduce his business model to twittering his old debate team buddies about how stupid everyone else is. Can't have that - mom would catch on and make him get a real job.
I think that Buell (& Bombardier, etc..) could come out with something a vastly more interesting than what was on that "press release". That's the main reason why I found that whole "Bomber" farce really quite insulting. |

Jeez, there's some sour grapes on here.
Even Anon seems to accept the gag by replying that they'll send him a consulting bill.
EBR got mentioned how many times?
No better publicity than free publicity.
I didn't see anything insulting at all, the fact that somebody took the time & trouble to do this, I think is very flattering to EBR.
As previously stated, if EBR can generate this sort of coverage by doing nothing, they've got absolutely nothing to worry about.
And when you send that bill Anonymous, wrap it round a bottle of Scotch. |

I personally think the person who did this is a f***tard!
I mean, rubbing salt in a wound is funny to him. Buell closing broke my heart... and now I feel dissapointed and angry all over again... |
