Street legal dirtbike? He could build motorcycles that are worth what they sell for, that would def. not be competition for HD. And the clothing isles would take up less room than the bikes. And we could put harleys on the floor next to the buells and treat them like crap, and not know crap about them.... Basically, do everything harley isn't, and you're sure to make a few dollars and sell some cool bikes. |

Froggy's become an 1125 snob. It's ok. We'll make fun of his "Harley" when the new Buells come out. |

I think even Erik would find that tuber remark insulting. My bikes say Buell on them, not H-Frickin-D. |

I'm thinkin' your not a real Bueller unless you've had to deal with a Tuber! Because there ain't nothing like having your whole bike laying on your garage floor in pieces in the morning and having it all put back together by the afternoon for a ride! |

The sexiest and most beautiful motorcycle ever made, the S3-T, was a Tuber. Froggy, you stepped in it Big Time. |

I (like many) have both an XB & a Tuber. I have to say that although the XB is technically the better bike, if one of them goes it'll be the XB. The M2 has Soul & hits me somewhere the STT can't reach. |

I think Froggy should put a Helicon in a tuber frame. THAT would be an interesting bike! |

"Bomber Motorcycles" , I'm sure a certain J Rosberg would be looking for a free one in lieu of royalties, in that case. |

Crusty, you almost got it right, just one digit off . The S2T was the sexiest Buell built. |

That's OK, Froggy just forgot that his beloved Blast has more in common with a tuber than it does with either his "some assembly required" XB, or his 1125's C'mon down to Maryland sometime...got an S2, S1W, and M2L for you to choose from. We'll hit some back roads (after I pull ALL the preload out of the suspension for your 90# frame LOL), and you'll see how good they really are. On a lot of levels, they don't compare to XBs or Lokis (and we have a Uly and a CR in the garage, too, for comparison - along with a Blast if you want to feel right at home!)...but even 15 years after the S2 was built it still makes me smile every time I ride it. It's capable, good power, great handling, good ergos, and drop-dead sexy to boot. Character? Sure, tubers have it, but that's not a bad thing. Temperamental? Not mine. Don't know what I'm doing "right", but they all behave just fine for us. Will they win next years' 200? Nope. But I'd have a lot of fun trying, LOL. ...and I still want pictures from the 25th "Parade Lap", riding the S2 2-up with the big bags and a tank bag, and passing people on the outside... |

>>>The S2T was the sexiest Buell built. It was sure right up there. I'm in the "basement cleaning mode" and found 8 boxes of S2T prototype stuff from 1994/5 the other night. I wish I had a set of the (thankfully the idea died on the vine) luggage that mounted on the front forks. Sure an S2 with 4 bags hauls a lot of stuff and handles spectacularly but visually there is no way to make it work. |

I wish I had a set of the (thankfully the idea died on the vine) luggage that mounted on the front forks. Interesting- I remember Kawasaki showed a prototype a few years ago that had sort of a similar setup (forward/side mounted luggage). It would make sense from a weight distribution standpoint. Maybe we'll see something like that in the future from Mr. Buell. |

Blashpemer! Down with Froggy! Guilt has been established. Punishment shall be assigned. Froggy Man must write by hand 1,000 times "Buell Tubers are my father; they are priceless works of art and the forebears of my 1125; I am not worthy." |

Tubers had their day. While I would still like one (X1 to be exact) I feel the XB and 1125 series were better. |
