Last night I was out for a walk in my neighborhood and a saw a dog running loose. Looked like a purebred Boxer, and had a collar and tags on, he was bounding around looking happy or confused. He was running away from the corner where I saw him, probably not an outside-dog, since there was no owner around, and he ran in front of a pickup truck that hit him. Truck didn't stop or swerve, dog was thrown about 20 feet, looked like he was dead when he landed. I've been feeling pretty bad about it, and I certainly wish I could 'un-hear' that smacking sound, but at least I don't think he suffered.
I was thinking it was pretty sad, but now that I've seen this thread I wonder if maybe I should have taken a picture to post here for laughs, if this kind of content is considered fun and funny in the terms of use here. You'll just have to imagine someones pet being killed on your own if you want the chuckles.
WAHHHHHHH!!!!! MY HEART BLEEDS FOR THE POOR LITTLE BUNNY AND THE DOGGIE.
Everything dies. It's a fact.
Personally I get no greater satisfaction in life than cutting the ribs out of a freshly killed hog and slapping them down on the barbeque while it's still warm and oozing blood out all over the place. 10 minutes ago, it was Bessie. 10 minutes from now, it's dinner.
Delicious!
Yes, I'd be sad if my kitty got squished. That's why I keep her indoors at all times. She is allowed in the back yard only while I am watching her. My pet rabbit stays in the back yard and sleeps indoors at night. He's a good boy. Very much still three dimensional, being as he is not running around in the street getting squished.
You can't sit around feeling sorry for every living thing. You'll starve to death.
