I'm guessing the "How much fuel do we need to get there?" question was never raised? Or, how about; Ok, we need x gallons to get there... let's bring xx% more.. you know, just in case. And it sounds like he and his wife didn't do so well in the communication department... |

That and trying to get to the south pole in the dead of winter. I bet just before their eyelids froze open, they were longing for a little global warming. |

Freezing to death isn't really the best way I could think of to "raise awareness of the enormous toll that global warming is taking on the Earth." Hmmm. |

The pilot....Jimmy Doolittle... Are you f@#$^ing kidding me?! The credibility of the story ended there. Could they not make up a more believable name for the pilot. These are the practice takeoffs/landings that Jimmy Doolittle is famous for.

Ok, that website is one of my new favorites... I just read a story about Antarctic ice increasing AND decreasing at the same time. The sea level is both rising AND falling. The levitating islands are pretty good too... they say nobody saw it because the "final episode" of American Idol was on TV at the time... Pretty sure that show is still on the air... |
