I've heard a lot of people go ContiSport front and ContiRoad rear. I don't know how they compare to the more common Pilot Road 2's or Diablo Strada's though. |

Don't know why I didn't know this, but I had a set of sport attacks mounted recently. I could've sworn contis were American made, but to my disappointment I saw "made in Korea " printed on the sidewall. Don't know if that matters to you just FYI. |

I don't care if there made on mars as long as they don't wear out after 3000 miles. I would like to change my oil more often than my tires. (Message edited by joshinga on March 21, 2010) |

Try the Pilot Road II's. Best I've seen yet for mileage that is still a great handling tire. |

I ran the Conti Raod Attacks on the race track for two track days and they stuck great, traction was never a problem. I rode them through the fall and into winter, they had a flat strip in the middle but tons of tread left. I decided to replace the set when they didn't pass inspection. Using the Pirelli Scorpion Sync's now and they are very comparable in grip, but the Pirelli is more supple, absorbing the smaller bumps and imperfections that the Conti transmitted. I still have the back tire and am planning on putting it back on with the Sport Attack on the front. Good tires, sticky, long wearing and not bad for the track either. If you find a good price give them a try. I know people who have run them from five to eight thousand miles. the rear I have has about 2K on it, I think it will do another 3-4K. Tread pattern is functional, I don't care for it personally but have had compliments from others who thought they looked great on my bike. |

Conti Road Attack on the rear and a Sport on the front. My first set I pushed out 8000 miles. The 2nd set didn't fair as well but changed at I believe it was about 5800 due to lots of hot track days. the only draw back to this combo is that the front wears the same as the rear. Dont know if that matters to you, it didn't to me cause I change them both regardless. the 2ct's in my opinion are on line to be a very comparable tire as far as grip, with the only difference being the warm time on the Roads are a bit longer. IMHO if you go out and try to drag your knee with out warming up to it anyway your asking for trouble, so that aspect didn't bother me either! |

I ran a set of Conti Sport Attacks at the track and they worked great. I just put a set of Conti Motions on my spare set of rims. When the time comes I will post a review. But so far, they have most everyone beat when it comes to price. I bought 1 front and 2 rears online for $220 bucks. That included delivery to my house. |

I love me some Road Attacks. I haven't been able to find the Road Attack 2s here yet, but I've never had a moments trouble with the regular Road Attacks. Got my knee down on the old Busa with them, commuting on the highway I got 10 K out of rears and 20K out of the front, commuting on local roads I got 6K out of one and 8K out of another. Guess what's going on the Buell in a couple of weeks? |

those road attack 2s look promising with the continuous compound instead of a one or two step change they transition gradually. very cool! I may try these after my Road 2s are done. |

Wolf, I'm running Motions on my Ss right now. I can't tell a difference between them and the Road Attacks... but then, I don't ride hard. At all. ~SM |

I'm running Motions on my Ss right nowI can't tell a difference between them and the Road Attacks That's good to hear. I am putting them on my Uly. The only roads it gets to see is the commute to work and mostly freeway when I teach. I just need/want something cost effective that lasts. I just need/want something cost effective that lasts. Thats why I got the Contis. My last set of Dunlops didn't fare so well. They were a track oriented tire. 50% of my riding is in a straight line. I just got 5 miles on my new Road Attacks yesterday. I'll start rackin em up today. They certainly feel different. No warm up, and I froze my hiney off. Taking the gear to work today. 20 mile lunch? |

Had Road attacks on both my uly and the wife's lightning-great tires. The new bike came with Syncs-comparable grip, too early to tell with wear. |

BrettX1, I believe your thinking the made in USA Conti's from some video or add, it's actually that their made in Germany. That struck a memory fart for me too., but yea, their made there. |

Made in Germany, I can deal with... but "made in Korea " that is a bit of a bummer for me... I hated to see that on the last set of Conti's I bought. |

It's interesting there is a RA2 now ,I wonder what they've changed besides the tread design. All the descriptions seem a little ambiguous although they seem to point to the black chili compound used in the sports........ I wonder if the RAs were lasting too long =), but they claim they'll last longer with the new compound/construction ........... I really like my Conti RAs amazing tires plenty of tread left at 4700 miles, more so on the front than the rear , rear profile is still decent. I may get another 2k or more out of the rear , very spirited riding all along, very chuckable and stable on all levels. =) ..... (Message edited by XenoX on March 28, 2010) |

I found this little right up , take it as you will .When I need to re up the rubber I'll most likely go with the RA2s , they sound decent. The best of both worlds between the sports and the roads. http://www.ityre.com/en/main/news/item/17572/ |
