What's with all those damn wires coming out of your helmet? No A2DP Bluetooth functional devices? |

What's with all those damn wires coming out of your helmet? No A2DP Bluetooth functional devices? Big Dave telemetry hardware. It takes a lot of continuous tuning to keep all that Aussie beefcake running at peak performance. |

The helmet wiring is DangerDave's personal in helmet EMP. By using Electro Magnetic Pulse hardware inside his helmet he no longer needs to wear the aluminum foil hats so commonly used among BadWeBbers in times of weather anomalies in conjunction with Sun spots and an increase in alien encounters that are followed by Earth quakes and rogue waves. I believe that there is a picture of GentlemanJon still floating around here somewhere as evidence. |

Why not a Bluetooth A2DP device for the music? |

I likes that iPod mucho better. Got top end sony buds that work as good ear plugs if I decide to turn the music off. The Belkin adaptor means that if I bother to set up correctly - the only bit that is exposed/visible is the control switch - which works with gloves on. Not interested in mobile phone or other comms. In fact severely dislike them. (Message edited by danger_dave on March 22, 2010) |

On long trips with several friends or on trips with wife, severely like cb radio. handy on hiway for police spotting. also just to comm about pee breaks, road hazards etc. We do not have any chatters so if we did I do not think I would like them either. Very handy tool but just a tool not for entertainment. |

If that works for you great. Tech is getting better all the time. Irony is I get offered lots of it for free too. But my attitude is: riding is partly about the isolation, total immersion and being in *my* space. Any encroachment is entirely not welcome. If Co-pilot needs to pee she taps my right hip. If she needs to go faster she taps the small of my back. All I need or want to know. Otherwise ask me when we get there. I'm busy. Reminds me I haven't seen my mobile for a week. It's in one of the bike jackets I hope. (Message edited by danger_dave on March 22, 2010) |

I used to ride with earbuds and the cables always made me mad, hence the interest in A2DP headphones of some sort for my helmet. You can always ignore the intercom if you are riding with a pack, but I do understand not wanting an intrusion. |

Damnut, What fly fishing show? Pics look good, makes me want to dig out my tying box. Ps: what camera and lens and settings did you use? Looks like you didn't use a flash? (Message edited by mikej on March 25, 2010) |

My buddy owns a store and he has an annual show with his vendors with some feature tyers and fishermen. This year he had Larry Dahlberg from Vs., Bob Popovics and a few others. Here's his website. www.Bearsden.com Check it out. One more.........

Nice. Looks like a nice shop too. I missed an opportunity many years ago to start up a fly shop, but the guy I was going through was playing too many games and not giving needed info. Oh well. |

I tried that set the flash off manually trick last night. Not bad for a first go - I know how to make it work better net time too.
