sort-of moto guzzi-ish - most of it. I like these... someone posted the actual pics on another thread. http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2009/11/10/moto- guzzi-v12-concept/ |

That actually looks....good! Moto-Guzzi's have always been a fav of mine, ( never owned, just liked from afar) styles vary, the earlier "standard" ones are classic, but some models are real bad art. That one looks like a S1 would with a sideways V engine. Needs the 6 piston brakes and wheels off a tuber, or perhaps the ZTL setup, though, for maximum cool I agree. That does look badass! It would be even better with the swing arm shortened up a bit. I don't imagine that would be impossible, but it would take some careful surgery. |

I'm not a fan of single sided front suspensions. I think for the exact reasons you cite Rice. I'd also have to believe that your left foot would get a little warm. |

I'm diggin' it. I don't think the swingarm/driveshaft is lengthened - looks like the tail section is chopped. |

To me the whole idea of one sided suspension for motorcycles just seems wrong. |

The practical problem here is that there is no side stand. |

To me the whole idea of one sided suspension for motorcycles just seems wrong. Automobiles have done it since day one.Bicycles' do it too.Cannondale has a really cool SSFork.I'm beginning to like Guzzis' |

Ducxl Posted on Sunday, March 07, 2010 Automobiles have done it since day one. True. But auto suspension is triangulated above and below the center line of the axle. And, in the case of double wishbone suspension, triangulation ahead and behind the axle, in two planes. SSS on a motorcycle does not appear to be triangulated; maybe it's a none issue, except for aesthetics. I'm not totally adverse to the "feature" (single sided swingarm) as it has it's merits. And a SSS would not be a deal breaker either. As Moto Guzzi is a bike I would consider, come the day when my Ulysses is finished, that is... |

My only question on the single side front is the mass. ( and stiffness, and antidive properties...) I love the SSS, it makes sense. ( you gotta have a beefy piece of gear to run the shaft through, so why not leave it asymmetrical? ) |

Some dolt put the muffler under the bike. That'll never work. |
