I'm the HAZMAT manager at work, and have an excel spreadsheet that keeps track of MSDS expirations. I have the document set up with conditional formatting to automatically highlight dates that are expired or nearing expiration. My question is - can I write a macro or use another excel function that would automatically send an email using Outlook as soon as one of the expiration dates is within the window that triggers the conditional formatting? I'm using Excel 2003 and Outlook 2003. |

Short answer... Yes. It's been close a decade since I've done that sort of thing though. It's going to take some digging to find the correct functions that need to be called to get it done, but I'm confident that it's doable. |

Can you move it to a database? Then you could use triggers. |
