I'm against posters who don't take time to check their spelling. I'm against posters who use incorrect grammar. I'm against posters who don't explain their silly positions, usually written in three word sentences. -------------------------------- Hex, you get an F grade this morning. Please see me after class. Explain yourself and support your positions. You usually disappear for several weeks after people call you out for silliness. |

Jesus didn't fight. Wrong. In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the moneychangers at their business. And making a whip of cords, he drove them all, with the sheep and oxen, out of the temple; and he poured out the coins of the money-changers, and overturned their tables. And he told those who sold the pigeons, "Take these things away; you shall not make my Father's house a house of trade." John 2:14-16 RSV

From what I have learned from zombie movies, Jesus is not going to be in a very good mood when he returns. |

>>>>Hex, you get an F grade this morning. Please see me after class. Wait . . he didn't really mean "decent"? I was truly laughing my ass off . . . I'm betting he meant dissent but he couldn't have made a funnier substitution. |

\menstruation_mode_on Everyone, please enable the Badweb spell checker in there profile and learn the difference between "to" and "too". While we're at it, "there" and "their", to. The "decent" and "dissent" booboo was pretty funny as well as illustrative of the intellectual sloppiness that is rampant around these hear parts. -Riendog \menstruation_mode_off (Message edited by reindog on March 02, 2010) |

"Jesus didn't fight." I've always suspected that your feigned quest for enlightenment and claim to have read the Bible were baloney. It's now clear that you haven't even read the scriptures of the New Testament. Jesus put a whoopin' on the temple moneychangers. It's a very memorable story, not one anyone who'd read it would forget. |

Murder would have been a sin. Jesus was sinless. One could say that Jesus killed death, though. |

The Jews were expecting a conquering king to lead them to an extermination and domination of the romans... and anyone else who would interfere with God's chosen people. They were wrong. Instead, they got a braver more significant thing, and a spiritual victory over death itself. Contemporary Christians, especially liberals, are expecting Jesus to return as a "not a reed will be bruised", and they will be wrong also. Jesus will return, as captain and commander of Gods army. He is and will be sinless. But a lot of people will have a lot of expectations about sin shattered (including no doubt me). |

Hex you still have a huge problem in your philosophy. When GWB said used the words 'us' and 'them' he was drawing a line between the United States along with all other nations that were willing to take a stand against evil (yes terrorism is evil). When the Democrats use the words 'us' and 'them' they are drawing a line between Americans. You actually have the balls to complain about what you claim is labeled un-American? The Democratic party is the King of drawing lines to differentiate various groups of the population. Sorry to have to say this but that is about as un-American as it gets. |

Come, on...I think the spell checker worked fine, it's just a jungian slip. To be a pacifist has been un-American for too long. I disagree, both that being a pacifist is un-American, and that it's a rational reaction to tyranny. Also, I'm NOT a pacifist. It would be a bit of an oxymoron for one of my faith, and, history shows, when the U.S. goes pacifistic & isolationist, millions usually get murdered in war, usually in Europe. ( since we seldom paid a lot of public attention to Asia until WW2.) Pacifists are usually nice people, but not a lot of help when your family's getting killed. But.... usually nice neighbors, and for most people, most of the time, having a neighbor who professes faith in the warriors code, and is willing to save your daughter from rapists, and your dog from coyotes, makes no difference, since you never need his help. A pacifist also may be neighborly enough to help get the lawn mower out of the ditch, or give a ride when the car breaks down. ( and unless you need radical help, you'll never know which neighbor gave to Al Gore to save the Polar bears, and which can save you from them..... the NRA sticker or DU decal can be a hint. ) so... Did you see your self as being with or against? ??? |

We should be eating the livers of our enemy. I will never forget nor forgive what they did to my city in 2001 (even if I haven't lived there since 1971). Please, pretty please, explain to me how we are responsible for 9/11. If you start blabbering about how United States caused it, then I have to warn you that you might have the occasion someday to be at a party full of drunken military/ex-military Badwebbers. They are usually a handsome lot but it ain't gonna be pretty when you start listening to that Mick Jagger music and start bad mouthing your country. Nuff said. I have heard that Irving Ghandi was actually quite handy with a chain gun. |

"Jesus put a whoopin' on the temple moneychangers..." ^^^ Agreed, agreed, and just wait for: "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war." Rev 19:11 KJV "We should be eating the livers of our enemy." I couldn't agree more. Never forget. |

Pacifist always hold true to their convictions as long as there is someone in front of them willing to take a bullet. It's easy to be a pacifist from the back. BTW, Jesus wasn't a back of the pack kinda guy. |
