That really is a sad thing.. the man was quite the racer a few years back. He bought an 1125r just to get back into it, I don;t know for sure how old he was but i know he was in his mid 50's. At least he died doing what he loved. My heart goes out ot his family (Message edited by tom_b on March 02, 2010) |

As the March 1st one year mark for Skip's motorcycle accident approaches I thought I would update everyone on his condition. Skip suffered a traumatic brain injury from the motorcycle accident that morning. Our family feels blessed that God and the trauma team at Halifax Hospital including Dr. Black, Dr. Roulan and the ICU nurses (specially Stephen) kept Skip alive. Skip was in a coma for two months and spent 10 months in the hospital and rehab centers. Skip is now at home in Houston Texas. Skip can walk short distances with a walker. Skip has left sided weakness and continues to have significant problems with short term memory loss and cognition. Skip has forgotten a large part of the last 10 years. I am thankful that we have known each other since childhood so he has always recognized me. I wasn't too thrilled when he asked me how we got to be old. Life is very different from what Skip and I planned but God is good and we have a wonderful church family and "bestest" friend Scott Ward to THANK for their wonderful support. Please continue to keep Skip and our family in your prayers. God can work miracles and there is always hope that Skip's brain may improve some over time. Skip currently does not remember racing the last couple of years but he still loves racing and we will attend some ARHMA races this year. Scott and Skip's dad Roger will help. Jan Bradley |

Thank you so much for the update Jan. Skip's story has been incredibly inspirational. He obviously loves life very much and that has to be due in large part to his family and friends. |
