His claim to 130hp to the rear wheels. The 1125r is barely capable of putting that down in stock trim..... 130 is possible in that frame, but a LOT of money goes into that process. This guy is just full of dookie. |

He just has some numbers transposed. It is supposed to read 103 HP but not at the rear wheel. However 130 HP at the rear wheel has a nice ring to it, don't ya think. |

103hp is still wrong... I think the X-1 was 101hp... |

The stock ones were 101 at the crank, about 85 at the wheel. I remember a few guys that dynoed them, even with different exhausts, maybe hit 85. I would definitely ask for the dyno sheet. I had a friend that rode a fat boy that was always telling me of some new thing that he did to his bike that gave it gobs of power. On my S3 with a pipe and intake it blew his doors off. He even did the stage II that cost him several thousand dollars and it still had trouble. Just pissed him off royally when I'd pull away. I was smart enough not to get in pissin matches with IL4s though. |

Easiest way to to make them and offer with the caveat that at the time of sale you'll go together to an independent dyno. You get $100 off the price for each HP it comes up shy. Works.

By the way . . . I doubt that bike makes any 85hp. |

By the way . . . I doubt that bike makes any 85hp. It might. My '98 S3-T made 84.5 HP and 74.9 Lb-Ft of Torque on the Dyno at Lancaster H-D/Buell in August, 1999. The bike was stock and had 35.000 miles on it at the time. The only major difference in the engines is that my S3 was carbureted and the X1 has fuel injection. |

There's a chance it does . . .not much chance it makes much more than that. 85 would be about right. |

My T'Stormed, Lightning-cammed S2, with the S1 Lightning ignition module, S1 lightened flywheels and factory race system made 86.5 Hp at the rear wheel. It was damn near a match to a race kitted X1 that Gary Valine was riding one day after work. The first stop sign I kind of got the jump on Gary, I hit 2nd gear and the front end came up and I rode through 2nd gear on the back wheel still ahead of Gary the whole way. At the next stop sign Gary got the jump on me and he did the exact same thing on the race kitted X1 and kept ahead of me the entire time. When I saw Gary the next day he commented "That's a nice running S2..." Then there was the black '99 X1 demo bike... Outlier 88 RWHP stock X1... I'm just saying...A stock X1 should be about 84-86 and with a little boost from the race exhaust and ECM should get it a bit more. Remember it's basically the core of the Lightning Series 90 RWHP bikes... I may be a little optimistic on this one, but I'm sure not 130 RWHP optimistic- 1313 |

In 2007 my 99 x-1 with race ecm , stock header V/H can, rizoma air filter and 13,000 miles on stock engine. 88 degrees with 92 percent humidity did 79 rwhp and 86 ft lbs torque. I was surprised it had bigger torque that hp number, but who cares. two other members here dyno'd their xb9's. both had race ecms i think they were pulling about 76 or 77 rwhp but not near the torque numbers, around 70ftlbs. if i remember right. One was p47b, the other was redponcho,. they may jump in and correct me on their bike numbers since it was their xb's not mine (Message edited by tom_b on March 02, 2010) |
