Your bike in front of an Ice Hockey/Skating rink. Indoor or outdoor, but and outdoor rink should make for a better picture. Glove on bike. |

I will be taking the pic on my Blast, as I will be riding it to get serviced. I took the 1125CR to work the last few days, man, what an awesome machine! |

Snow in my area left Friday. So nice to see 50F +! First time since December that I can recall! Wow, the temp dropped right off when the sun went down though. I like the way your reflective stuff shows up in those pics. |

The ride report said that all my favorite roads were full of sand&salt, so Charlie and I rode in the foothills. Extra nice day, although after getting home, I realized it was still winter time, and the good weather wouldn't last. Big rain storm right now We almost went 10 days without, but not quite... There were no mines, just lots of twisties. Here's a pic from last Summer of me and Charlie. I know it doesn't count for anything in this thread, but I'm gonna post it anyhow. Your next challenge is...Any mine operation, big equipment in the pic = super bonus uncollectable points! Glove on the helmet on the seat.

Are there any players in the South West US where the Old West mining towns are? |

Open pit mines in the USA (from Wikipedia)... Berkeley Pit - former copper mine in Butte, Montana; now a toxic lake and tourist attraction. El Chino Mine – copper mine in Grant County, New Mexico. Hull-Rust-Mahoning Mine – largest open pit iron mine in the world near Hibbing, Minnesota. Bingham Canyon Mine – copper mine in Salt Lake County, Utah. Lavender Pit – copper mine in Cochise County, Arizona. |

It doesn't have to be an open pit mine. Tennessee has hundreds of underground mines. One right across the street from me as a matter of fact. They mine zinc with a sized gravel by-product. An old gold mine, silver mine, coal mine, what have you, working, abandoned, just an opening in a mountain side that used to be a mine. Even a mine ride in an amusement park. It is winter, picky-ness will get us no where. |

we just had two days of pouring rain, and the mines are a up in the mountains, have to wait for the weekend to ride up there, and the forecast is for more rain on Saturday. |

Well bring it on! I am interested in what Bingham mine might be. You don't need no stinkin' registration! Just tell them Vern said it was OK! |

Maybe some kind of ID card you could send me, indicating I'm an authorized representative of VERN and not subject to the normal laws and regulations on the road? I'll just print it off on some card stock and I'll be good to go. |

No sorry, it has to be all verbal. If it were something in writing it may involve some kind of commitment or meaning or effort or something. Ain't gonna happen. You just tell them they will have to take my word and that I said that it is OK. You can back that up with any verbalization that you deem necessary to explain your way out of a potential ticket, at this time it would be a good idea to have your girl friend flash her boobs, but make sure there are no cameras or voice recorders running(unless you are going to let me see the pics). None of it will hold up in court, there is no legal standing behind any of what I have mentioned here. Remember, you are getting what you paid for. I have some 'get out of Hell free' cards from Hell Michigan, do you think they will work? |

Mark (Wolfie), Usuly, Jimduncan69, myself, and I think a couple of others I regretfully cannot remember who right now, went there on our way to Homecoming in '07. They had them at a little shop next door to the "Greatest Hamburger in Hell" restaurant. One of those 'we are going near enough we have to stop' tourist things. I would post a picture of that, but those are locked up in my old hard drive. 'Twas but a great time had by all. |
