I mean, if these jokers are all SO serious about finding out the finer details of the matter, why not CALL EBR and ask about it? Why sit behind a keyboard and ruin the punch bowl with a bunch of turds tossed into the mix. If I was seriously entertaining purchasing one, I would CALL and schedule some time to come up and see it myself. Drop the cash off and leave and wait for the bike to arrive... If it wasn't what I expected, well. I'd go pound salt. It's a product, not a !$#& religion. |

I get indignant foul-mouthed phone calls and emails. One of our custodian's mothers has been searched out and emailed by one unbelievably arrogant, indignant, naysayer. I have ZERO use for such people. They are a blight on my life. That needs to end. Now! ive also been around long enough to know that if someone were to leak who the person attacking anothers mother on here were it would only take a phone call or 2 for that individual to no longer be able to hide behind there computer and be hearing a knock on the door... just saying... to many people are hiding behind there screen and acting/talking big about things they know nothing about. By the way . . . last year was a record for me in 22 years of helping Buell owners resolve problems. Since someone may want "facts" I'll let you ask Vick sometime . . just be ready to run. To date . . not ONE BUELL OWNER charged for parts, new bikes or anything . . not even freight. not for lack of some of us bugging you about where to send a check though! and i hope to make it to get a court tour someday, and then dinner will be on me but for right now get you but to daytona, because dinner is on you!!! |

>>>>If I was seriously entertaining purchasing one, I would CALL and schedule some time to come up and see it myself. That's actually what has been happening. The people buying bikes have been quite pleased. In addition, the folks at EBR have (this was not their intention) been opening their doors to racers. I think several of the racers at Daytona could share some amazing stories about some amazing things the folks at EBR have done in the past month to help racers prepare for Daytona. |

>>>>not for lack of some of us bugging you about where to send a check though! Hahahaha. . . Each and every one of the people, including the 349 from 2009, I've worked with has been nothing but kind and courteous. Some have started out screaming and yelling and I've had to defuse those. I love doing it and always try to stay just at that level where Erik shakes his head and may threaten to strangle me but actually doesn't. There were about 6 cases last year where the customer was simply wrong so . . and this is where Vickie just shakes her head. . . I simply bought the parts at Liberty or somewhere, tossed them in a Buell box and they mysteriously appeared at folks' houses. These included, in 2009, thing ranging from a master cylinder cap to a set of Outdoorsman luggage. I was able to, with great cooperation from the folks at Buell Customer Service, get them to reconsider and provide 4 folks with new bikes last year. Buell Customer Service, another of the groups that would love to see me croak, has been wonderful to work with, fair and open to listening. The key is knowing how to approach them . . . a lesson a few folks here could sorely use. We'll see. No kidding ? ? ? . . I said I'd buy lunch ? ? COOL ! I'm thinking we can likely meet at the Autograph session at the Fan Zone around 11:00 on Thursday. No clue as to where we can go . . but we'll find something. |

>>>Knowing, and following this one simple statement, goes a VERY long way in problem solving when it comes to people. It does . . my career has included lots of things, the United States Marine Corps, a stint with The White House Advance Team, 35 years in heavy construction and now the world of academia. How you talk to people plays a huge role in how things go. I like to win. I wrote a nice piece here on Badweb several years ago about how to deal with Customer Service. No clue where it is but it'd sure be germane to some of these folks. Many of them just never get it. . . they are like one of those mini-spare tires. . . a good idea but they just don't go far or fast. Some folks were taught simple manners. They tend to excel. |

I still remember lunch with Court in a neat little restaurant in Brooklyn back in 2001. The restaurant didn't take credit cards, and I was low on cash. I wrote Court a check for like $80 or something and he happily acted as cashier. By the time I got home to TX months later, there was a letter from Court, in it the check I'd written him. What a jerk! |

That's where the damn thing went! ! ! Still got it? There was a much funnier, yet very similar thing, that happened yesterday. Look . . . in nearly 24 years of riding Buells, owning lots of them, tens of thousands of miles of test riding Buells (as well as a couple BMW and Ducati's) and wandering 44 states I've met roughly 4,000 of the nicest folks any person could ever hope for in a lifetime. Someone commented the other day that I'd lived 150 years . . . I'd darn near agree with that. Funny thing is but I can see that the times coming to pass the torch to another generation of Buell owners. I'm not riding as much as I used to and other hobbies are beginning to compete for time but I've certainly had the pleasure of being one of the most blessed people in the world of Buell. Erik said in best about 15 years ago . . . "Court has all the fun and I get to do the work". Genius? . . . you bet your ass. |

Have the integrity to either recant and apologize or to leave the forum. Anything short of one of those alternatives is unacceptable to me. Well I am not on a mission, just tired of the hypocrisy I observe, ie freely attacking people all the time, calling them liars, trolls and what not because of a dissenting post. I will not apologize or recant as I feel I have nothing to recant for or apologize for. So I guess I will miss the forum but ya never know, I might just find more time to ride as I will be typing less. Good luck with the forum and all that, I will go over and print off the denoid stuff before you kill off my log in ability as I am doing all that Friday before I leave for the Supercross in Daytona. Cheers and keep the rubber side down. |

"freely attacking people all the time, calling them liars, trolls and what not because of a dissenting post." "freely attacking people all the time" That is a false and highly misleading characterization. Stern confrontation is employed here by custodians only when warranted and in measure to the misbehavior being addressed. "calling them liars": Rarely and only when proved to be so. "trolls" Again only when proved to be so. "because of a dissenting post" A more dishonest characterization is tough to imagine. Dissent connotes a thoughtful and respectful dialogue. We never confront anyone who behaves thoughtfully and respectfully. It's a real shame that you are unable to own up to your own poor behavior and blatant mis-statements. That you see yourself on some kind of mission here is all too obvious; rejecting or ignoring polite requests from custodians here shows it. Acting as intermediary and proxy for a banned user shows it. There is obviously something more compelling you to disrespect our terms of use in order to participate subversively in this Buell enthusiasts community. Serving ego is a tough way to live. Trust me, I know. |
