Heres the thing with Rotella though. It is a diesel oil. Your cats on bikes and cars for gasoline are different then that of Diesel truck's and cars. Slowly your cats will get plugged and have problems doing there job. If your running no cat then your golden. |

I have an 03 XB9R, cats are things to avoid running over while I ride Also the Mobile 1 V-Twin is supposed to have many of those same additives. That said I have not found an MSDS for the mobile stuff yet, but it does say "fully synthetic" and that it is for use in high shear duties like motorcycle gear boxes. It's around $8 a quart around here which makes it $64 a gallon which is similar to the Delvac 1. Oddly enough I see Revzilla has the V-Twin for $16 a quart, thankfully the Advance autoparts stores carry the V-twin so I'll probably just go with it since I can walk in and grab what I need. |

Greg_e Rotella T in 55 Gal. drums has a higher zinc content than auto supply/discount store packaged gallons. IIRC the difference is 1600 ppm vs 1200 ppm. But the lesser noted above is still better then most other non syn's that are available. |

What do I do with all that oil? I wonder if the truck repair places would pump me a gallon? That's about the only good thing of living on a transportation crossroads, several decent repair places for trucks including several independent as well as most major dealers. Oddly enough most of them still have a Kendal oil sign on the buildings. |

If my bike used oil I may worry about what it does to the catalytic converter, but since it doesn't, I won't. Greg- There is also a non-syn Rotella T, so watch what you are buying. The syn is the blue bottle. |

I have a friend that has a small trucking co. 8 trucks and I buy or trade out work for the oil. But I also don't hesitate to use it bought elsewhere. I've run it in everything I've owned for 30 years sans the 2 strokes. |
