I had the privilege of going to try out a new track in AZ this weekend. Inde Motorsports Ranch, it's southeast of Tucson. I really can't say enough good about it. It is a great flowing 2.75 mile track with about 20 turns. There is a number of places to rest, it's technical, and safe. I really liked it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzvfDh852ao Here's some video from my bike, we were out just playing around with lines. Since it was the first time that any us had been there and I'm still learning my new bike. So how much is a trackday going to cost down there? Is it less expensive than Phoenix? Is it better than Deming? |

It's $155 a day, I have no idea what Phoenix is charging, but I know for a fact that this track is safer. You ain't dodging concrete. It's bigger(2.75 miles), technical (~20 turns with elevation change and blind corners), and has flawless pavement. So in a lot of ways it is much nicer then Deming. Or any other track in the area. The TI2TT group is organizing the trackdays, there is more info on their site. I thought it was a blast. |

Thanks for the heads=up on TI2TT running track days there, that makes it affordable. When that complex was first being built, it was basically being advertised as playground to the privileged. Membership fees were around 50K a year. After they did not get the response they were looking for, some cheaper membership packages were offered, but it was still pretty steep. The track days being offered now make it something to think about. |
