Such is the "logic" of the left, irrational emotional foolishness. |

Furthermore, if made illegal, the number of abortions would drop by a HUGE amount. Some folks actually respect the law. Conversely, if murder were made legal, the murder rate would skyrocket. Absolutely no difference. DS, I appreciate your personal view of the abhorrence of later (2nd & 3rd) term "abortion", but if you find it constitutes murder of the unborn, then why not support protecting said unborn? Why are you willing to allow their continued slaughter? I notice you still won't answer the questions and now choose to walk away from the discussion. Why? Hang tough amigo. Change is sometimes good. Changing one's opinions can be liberating. I think you are halfway there. 40,000,000+ babies that suffered horrendously brutal inhuman slaughter and who never had the chance to live and grow since Roe was stupidly decided would wonder the same. |

Again... Does or does not the unborn baby have a right to life? Is an unborn baby merely material property subject the whim of it's owner, or is it a living human whose life deserves protection under the law? |

Blake first ( since he agree's with me on the thread subject...and it's his room ) First question, I think so. Second question, I have mixed emotions, but I lean towards living human. That is not all the questions that must be asked. I chose not to stick in (again ) my views on abortion past that right now, ( I'm reluctantly pro-choice ) it's not the threads subject. But, since I can't resist..... In the 1860's era, the slave owners were NOT leftist. More Feudal, hence right wing, by an old definition. Conservative, even, in that they wanted to preserve the status quo. They were predominately Democrats, as were the KKK, and the bulk of racism exploitation and hatred in this country from before the Civil war up to.... today? Nixon's admin? Depends on if you believe the Dems declared themselves the party of Civil rights and it was reality & not PR. The Democrat party didn't start to go leftist until the turn of the 20th century with the Progressive movement. So, although subjects of leftist authoritarian regimes are treated as slaves of the State, it has little to do with 18th century slavery.... Back when Arab slave traders sold African natives captured by other African tribes to the "civilized" nations. Ok Drkside? Now the "conservative" side today, is a mix of fiscal, social and structural proponents. Structural.....like those who consider the Constitution, as written & intended ( by the founders own writings ) to be the best deal going for freedom & happiness. ( I think that it indeed is...show me better ) Fiscal........ Dude, you CAN'T spend twice as much each year....do you have any idea what happens??? Social..... again a mix of single issue & moral & rational. Some are concerned with making some aspect of their faith part of secular law. ( this subject is a hot point for many, for that reason ) I am, generally, opposed to those ideas, from ANYone who wants his church to run my morality, without my consent. I don't care if it's mandatory prayer, carbon sin taxes, or no booze on Sundays, I oppose those laws. Generally. Some don't suck that much. Rational... anti-crime, pro community cleanliness, pro healthy environment... the "conservationist" conservative. You can make divisions between the Democrats as well, since not all are Progressive Authoritarians, and some are quite pro-police, etc. etc. Lets not tar all with the same brush.... there are whacko's on both extremes. |
