check this thing out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BSA-Square-Four-Rac e-Bike-Drag-Bike_W0QQitemZ110493363232QQcmdZViewIt emQQptZUS_motorcycles?hash=item19b9eaec20 "Here is one you haven’t seen before, a one off BSA 4 cylinder race bike. Take a look at the pictures, the frame was built over a period of about 10 years by a machinist who knew his stuff. The whole thing is aluminum billet that has been shaped and channeled for lightness. The fit and finish is second to none. He put a plate on the headstock calling it “Widow Maker” but I call it BSA Squared."

Wow- that brought a flash-back. When I was in junior high (8th grade) I read a paperback book about a bunch of motorcyclists. The protagonist rode a 500cc BSA single, and IIRC the chief bad guy rode a chopper/bobber powered by two BSA twins welded together, much like this. I don't really remember anything else about the story. I hadn't thought of that in ~30 years. (Message edited by Hughlysses on February 17, 2010) |
