Dana, I sure hope it was better than the Mpls one. Ours stunk. Very low vendor turn out (other the the MC manufacturers). Nothing real exciting to look at either. I did get a number of comments on my Buell jacket, most expressing dissatisfication with HD. Quite a few came from bar and shield wearing folks. Also comments over heard while in the Indian booth. I heard more than once from hd clad attendees, "boy that's my next bike" while looking at a new Indian. However, since Chicago is a bigger market, the scale of that show should be bigger.. Brad | ||

On the BMW Superbike. I got to see one over the weekend and while it is nice I was not impressed. Would rather have a 1125R. Found the BMW to be way aggressive and felt my legs were in my chest. Of course I realize I may not be the person BMW is going after. But I liked the K1300S better. | ||

My dumb ass went down there from Milwaukee this morning thinking it was going to open up at 9am, WRONG. Had to turn right around and head back north, buddy had to be back in MKE by 2pm. We had tickets with us the whole time, while they had the opening times on them. I've done stupider things, heading back down tomorrow! | ||

I didn't bring a camera (sorry), but I can tell you Peter Egan finally bought a Buell. A blue 2009 XT. And some guy at a HD display asked me if I was Erik! I was wearing my Buell shop jacket and looking at the 1125 they had. I just said "no" and walked away. Oh yeah, Dana the bike looks great and so do the homecoming t-shirts. I really wish I had brought the camera. | ||

Thanks Brad. So I can clue everyone in on the design. I figured we use the Air cooled cylinder's in the shirt. The state with a star for East Troy in the center. Rocco said Never say Die meaning Homecoming should never die. In that same banner its ghosted in 83' as in the birth and 2009 for the..... well end. The timing cover having the year of this homecoming with the checkered flag around it signifying that Buell went out winner's. |
