If you ordered a custom seat that means that from the factory it was not to your satisfaction. Or That the bike was imperfect from the factory, which means you feel the bike was not the one you covet. Your logic is flawed! |

I'll tell you what's flawed is this whole idea of serving my taco on a bed of rice...by the time the plate gets to me the shell is soggy! I am sick and tired of that!! Can't science provide a better delivery platform for my taco than moist rice!? |

Oh, sorry Glitch. No, "The" Spider made no sense. The stock seat is A OK. The problem is my textile Buell riding pants which (unlike leather) slip around and make for a less than optimum riding experience. So I am going to go leather with a suede top. Know taco, no rice; No taco, know rice. |

I had a set of Joe Rocket textiles once...once. Gave slip sliding away a whole new meaning. I had them when the XB was new, and still had the stock S seat. Good thing it had the "step" or I could have been left behind. Me, I don't care for tacos or rice. Ann dislikes me having tacos even more |

This thread could have a sub title added to the marquis....."or Froggy Goes Apeshit For a While!". I think it is hilarious that just about everybody arguing for the air cooled XB's have one detractor. Froggy, you are being gang banged man! You are putting up a good fight though! I'm totally an air cooled fan. My '05 City-X only had a turn signal wire come unplugged in 13,000 very happy miles, my wife's '01 Blast that I acquired used has had 0 problems 'ceptn for what gravity done. My Uly.....well I love this bike, BadWeB saved it for me, and I do my own wrenching. Froggy is my buddy and I like routing for the underdog.....Go Froggy! We traded bikes in the rain one cold evening for a while, my Uly X for his CR. As we both got off I believe our mutual comments were something about how smooth each others bikes run. I'm keeping my Uly and would like to have a CR in the shed for those kind of days that might require another kind of ride.....oh yeah, those days haven'e existed since I bought the Uly! My City-X sat un-used for three months before I sold it so that the tires wouldn't rot. Go Froggy! |

Tacos give me heartburn and nobody knows. It's gourmet olives that put me out on my deck at night. Even the skunks can't take it. Back to the seat...I have full Vanson leathers (2pc), love 'em...but the new Buell textile pants are so convenient. |
