I have a few observations. 1 How many Americans are competing for other countries? seems like a lot yes I know they have dual citizenship just wondering 2 I like the bobsled run seems to have raised the stakes. Though I could have done without the Georgian dieing. 3. Geoff Bodine has done good with his support of the American bobsled team. Other Americans should put their money where their mouth is. 4 What does NBC have against people who work for a living I would like to see a Hockey game. |

I am not surprised that Canada beat Russia, but I am surprised at how they did it. Talk about "beating them like a rented mule" ...Wow. I am surprised that Sweden lost. Looks like we could have a USA vs. Canada rematch for Gold. As I have watched the games, I find myself marveling over the amount of talent on the ice. |

4 What does NBC have against people who work for a living I would like to see a Hockey game. I doubt they have anything against Hockey. Also by the way I am with you. For starters it's all about $ More people want to see figure skating plain and simple. So adds cost more and they can run more commercials. I'm sure the championship will be shown on NBC. |

Don't overlook Finland. They are a good team with good goal tending. That will be a tough match for the US. |

It must have been on cable. I saw the last few seconds of the US vs. Canada womens' game. I was waiting for some 'fast' food and couldn't hear the narrative. I'm no hockey expert. Imagine may shock when the players took off their helmets. |

Don't overlook Finland. They are a good team with good goal tending. No doubt there, lots of talent on that team, and Kiprisov is capable of taking over a game but...Miller is playing well, and I feel pretty good about our team. |

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/olympic_games/vanc ouver_2010/ice_hockey/8538366.stm I have mixed feelings about Canada women' hockey team... on one hand I think what they did was a disgrace... on another hand, if I were 21 years old and had just won a gold medal in the Olympics I would easily do the exact same thing... I wonder where the coach and officials were when it all happened... |

on one hand I think what they did was a disgrace How? Why? They weren't wiping their ass with a US flag. They weren't doing it in front of the US players. They are kids having a good time and they damn well deserved it! No one gets in a shitfit when football players bust out the Soul Train dance off and that is just after 6 points... USA USA USA!! |

I don't really see the big issue with the women's hockey celebration either. As far as I know no rules were broken. If the IOC has an issue with it they can amend the rules for next time, but what's the big deal? It's like they are trying to hide the fact that when these athletes are done they party in ways that would embarrass a frat house. |

My new favorite NHL team(s) is any/every team opposing of Crosby. (lol) Richards and Pronger are on my home team, they hate Crosby. (At least us Flyers fans would like to think so) Great game! GO FLYERS! |

great game! Miller was outstanding in goal but it just seemed that their defensemen got confused in overtime and was having trouble clearing the puck just prior to the game winning goal. |

4 on 4 is quite different from 5 on 5, 5 on 4. It's kind of like man to man coverage for football. It's tough as you do practice it but not near enough. |

With all the youth on the team, it is a bit ironic that the mistake that ended the game was by a veteran defenseman. Great game though. |

With all the youth on the team, it is a bit ironic that the "fluke shot on goal" that ended the game was by a veteran douchebag. Great game though.

It wasn't a fluke goal. It was a misread and bad save selection. Being a goalie I know the look Miller has, it is the " I know I shoulda done..." Miller went for the poke check thinkink Cros was gonna bring the puck in and had his head down. That is the mistake, a goalie should be 100% focused on the puck. He would have had plenty of time to Butterfly and have his stick in the postion of where the puck was aimed. But it's not the first time a goalie has had a brain fart and won't be the last |

Yea i guess you right it was ....(I won't say it), .. but Crosby do not even see the puck.. he just winged it towards the net... crosby even stated he didn't see the puck until after it was shot and was in the air. So I still say fluke "shot". Dare I change my statement from "Fluke shot" to Skilled shot". (stick fingers down throat now) I say it was a fluke shot with a touch of mistake. Not one man's doing. |

When I was coaching youth hockey, I taught my kids that if they had a teammate battling for the puck along the boards, instead of coming all the way into the boards they should position themselves off a bit. That way they had body position between their goaltender and the opposing player when the puck came free. Rafalski got all the way into the boards and allowed Crosby to get body position on him. If he had stayed out, Crosby never would have had the shot. Funny thing, half the time the kids would be so into the moment that they would go in after it anyway... some things just don't get outgrown |

Cros did that perfectly, made sure his teammate was gonna win the puck then beat you man to the net and call for the puck. He knew where it was he just didn't see it go in. I always feel sorry for the goalie. You are perfect 95% of the time and you lose cause you miss one shot and your teammates never get a decent shot on the other goal. your the goat even though you had the best game of anyone on the ice. Cros is a great player. He seems lucky only 'cause he does the right thing so often that good things happen to him. |

They're Canadians! Canadians swig champagne and beer and smoke cigars pretty much all the time. It's just what they do! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. Canadians are awesome! |
