I cant find it... talk to Froggy he seems to be the guru. But back when they were doing the TT coloring contest I had a rendering up. Flying tiger shark over tank, cross hair targeting on windscreen, and flags on the 'number plates' from Japan, Italy, Germany and yes Britain too. Its out there somewhere, granted I am not an artist so it aint great. My art skills are one step above etcha schetch stick figures and colouring books. |

There is a company called either "zazzle" or "Razzle" that make custom stickers of whatever you want. I'm sure a search would find it easily. |

LOL ahhhh ignorance must be bliss QUOTE I want to put five of them on the side of my bike to look like a WWII ace The WWII Ace pilots (an American term BTW) used to put Nazi flags and Japanese stickers on their planes to show who they shot down. SO The original poster is implying that he 'shot down' a Japanese motorcycle in a race by placing the Japanese sticker on his bike like a fighter pilot...

Got me there. I took it as he wanted a Japanese theme. I just learned something new. I'm still studying my history. Been watching World At War as of now and I don't claim to know everything. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. |

I had four "Rising Sun", three Italian, and two German "kill flag" decals on the tank cover of my '02 X1 White Lightning, right under the Peter "Gunn" Hampton decal. I also had Bubba Blackwell's signature on there as well. Kind'a wish I still had that bike... |

My XT's got a collection of "kill flags" going. I got stickers for all 50 states, and just add the flags as I visit the states. I got mine from www.usflags.com, but they don't have Rising Sun stickers. |

A Japanese bike painted with an American color scheme and posing in front of an American WWII fighter. I love the irony. Next up - the new S1000RR complete with Star of David decals! |

Just wonderin why you would want your bike to resemble a WWII Japanese flying ace after what they did to the American Soldiers during the war? After 60 years your still holding a grudge? It was long before my time but you might want to consider the fact you did nuke 2 of their cities. |

After they bombed Pearl Harbor and brought us into the war did they get nuked which saved many more American's from getting killed and no I'm not holding a grudge. After 60 years your still holding a grudge? It was long before my time but you might want to consider the fact you did nuke 2 of their cities. Is11b1p may have misunderstood the premise of the flags on the bikes at first but there was nothing wrong with what he said. The Japanese of that time were guilty of something equal to the modern day 9-11 attacks. This does not mean that we hate the Japanese, but the actions and the people that were involved the attacks do not deserve any prestige on American soil. In sixty years I guess we can sit here an say that there is no reason to harbor negative feeling against Bin Laden because time had past, BS. Just to be clear, it is not the Japanese people but instead the representation of the actions of that time. |

get some badweb sleuth to unearth the color me tt thread, my war tt is in there, with the flying tiger and combat kill stickers; its pretty apparent what the motif was. I think would should have hit Mecca Medina and the Dome of the Rock back in 2001. but thats just me. |

"Just to be clear, it is not the Japanese people but instead the representation of the actions of that time." Probably why the OP is looking for the Rising Sun, and not the Japanese Flag. While the upper flag is quite acceptable and associated with the country of Japan, the Rising Sun flag is a used primarily by Japanese military forces. It is more offensive to a lot of people and nations because it's more closely associated with past aggressive behavior from Japan's military. Interesting trivia that I just learned: Japan's Army version of the Rising Sun flag shows the sun centered, while their Navy's flag shows the sun closer to the left side. |
